Вчера получила это от приятельницы, мне ужасно понравилось:
In the New Year which begins now,
These are my wishes for you:
May you experience no earthquakes of more than 3 on the Richter scale,
and may you have a flashlight, radio, water and food ready, just in case.
May you achieve your ideal weight,
and maintain it,
And enjoy the love of an ideal mate
and deserve it.
And may you see a good play,
hear a great piece of music,
and see no flashing police lights behind you.
May you have bread to eat, a roof over your head, and clothing to wear,
and may you provide them for the hungry, the ragged and the homeless.
May strangers greet you with smiles, and little children with wet kisses.
May you have enough wealth to be able to give to charities and enough left
over to provide you with necessities.
May the water you drink be pure,
and the majority of your thoughts be the same.
May your stock rise and your interest payments fall.
May you discover a hidden talent,
and your pillbox gather dust on the shelf,
May you learn how to program your VCR,
and have no problems with the IRS.
And may neither you nor your computer be infected by a virus.
May you bypass the latest things and hold on to the lasting things.
May you never miss a glorious sunset.
May you make a living,
but never neglect making a life,
May Peace reign over Israel,
and the world become safe to live in.
And if Elijah brings the Messiah into your home next Pesach,
may you recognize and welcome him...or her.
And if Messiah does not come,
may you try to make this a better world, and maybe the Messiah will come
next year.
And in the meantime,
may God be with you...and may you know it.
