Chapter Seven: Sorry
Akira looked at the instructor over Ohno’s left shoulder. “Hey, look at me.” she looked into his eyed and he grinned, “alright let the music flow and follow my lead.”
She raised her eyebrow, “Shouldn’t you be following me?”
“Trust me.” he said and then they both nodded to the instructor.
“Now I don’t expect this to be perfect, but it should give you all an idea as to how you should be in tuned with your partner’s movements as well as form.”
Music started to play around them, and Ohno pulled her close to his chest. They looked into each other’s eyes before quickly moving away. He moved to the right and she moved to the left. She made sure to mirror his moves and follow his eyes and jesters so it looked like they rehearsed this dance.
She spun out and Ohno brought her back to his body laughing, when their instructor started clapping.
“Marvelous~! I think you two have great chemistry, Maybe you’ll want to do a duet for the showcase?” the hopefulness was so apparent that Akira looked at Ohno who rubbed his neck
“Um, no offence to Miyazawa-san, but I really wanted to do a solo.” He gave her an apologetic look and she smile.
“It’s alright, I understand.”
Class needed on a great note she even saw Fujigaya looking at her wile Jay kept his gaze away from her which was weird, shaking her head she walked back to her room when she saw Mika standing by the door.
“Hey, I was waiting for you…are you alright?” she asked looking at his red puffy eyes.
“I’m sorry Akira, I really am, but…” he sighed, “I think we should see other people.”
She looked at him, “What?”
“I’m sorry.” He repeated softly, “I’ll see you around alright?”
As he turned to walk down the hall she felt rooted to her front door. Blood pumped quickly through her veins, and rushed in her ears. She couldn’t hear anything but those words.
“Akira?” she heard Noriko, “Are you just going to stand there?”
~*~
Noriko opened the door to Akira standing in the doorway unmoving, with a look of utter disbelief on her face.
“Akira?” she called again, “Are you okay?”
Something in Akira must have snapped because her head turned to her and she saw an array of emotions cloud her eyes.
When she croaked out, “I’m fine.” and rushed past Noriko to get inside the room. She quickly slammed the door in Noriko’s face.
“Uh, I live there too…” Noriko stammered, “But, if you need a moment I guess I can go for a walk or something.”
She sighed and walked down the hall.
After getting lost on her way to Piano class and running into Hyunmin, she realized that the school was a lot bigger than even she dreamed. Walking out of her dormitory, she decided to go back towards the practice rooms.
Hyunmin was so nice to show me were to get to class, it also helped that Mizumi was there along with Jun. The only downside was that jerk was there as well.
Noriko frowned thinking about the guy from the library and now in her Piano class.
What’s his deal anyway? I mean it’s not that it would’ve killed him to be nice or anything. Ha maybe it does!
“New girl, are you alright?” a light voice said laughing, “You just growled at me.”
“I didn’t growl at you.” Noriko said turning pink, “I was growling at a thought I had, and my name is Noriko, not new girl.”
“Sorry, about Miyata, he’s got screws loose.” a deep voice chimed in next to him.
“I’m sorry?” Noriko said looking at him, when the guy on the other side spoke up
“I’m Senga my rude friends are…” He said grinning, “Miyata…” he pointed to the guy in the middle that gave her a goofy smile, “…and Nikaido.” the guy with the deep voice.
“I think you’re in my violin class.” Noriko said to Nikaido who nodded.
“Possibly.” Nikaido said, “We’re heading to dinner if you want to join us?” Noriko looked back at the dorm building and nodded, “Sure why not.”
~*~
Yori was already sitting next to Fujigaya, Hiromitsu and Yokoo when Nikaido, Senga, and Miyata showed up with Noriko trailing behind them.
“Hey, I didn’t think you guys would ever show up.” Yokoo said moving over, “And you brought a guest.”
“Hi, I’m Noriko Kinjo.” she said smiling and he nodded.
“Yeah, we know.” Yokoo said, “I saw you on stage remember, and I have to say your skills were amazing.”
“Yes, it was a very admirable violin piece you played, do you know the name or even the notes?” Yori asked leaning in as Noriko frowned.
“I told you all I knew before Yori, which isn’t much can you please drop it.” She said softly looking down at the table.
Fujigaya coughed, “Right, so Noriko, how are you liking it here?” He leaned forward and had a nice smile on his face.
Yori saw the pink rise in Noriko’s cheeks and elbowed Fujigaya to get him to back up. Noriko looked nervous again and Nikaido stood up.
“I’m going to get food, you hungry?”
“Well, that was the whole reason I came here.” Noriko said standing up and sending him a glance to which he nodded and walked away, she rolled her eyes before following him.
“I’m going too!” Miyata said following them.
Yori shook her head, “Gaya, maybe you should lay off the charm I can tell Noriko’s smitten with you.” she watched them leave, “and Nikaido’s not winning any points acting so standoffish.”
“Ugh … you know him trying to act cool so she’d notice him, but if they got together he’d turn to mush.” Kitayama said making Senga, Yokoo, and Fujigaya laugh.
“Hey, have you guys seen Tama?” Yori asked, “I’m worried about him he’s been skipping meals a lot lately, it’s not good for his health.” “What are you his doctor?” Kitayama scuffed, “He’s fine.”
“I talked to him earlier, and he said he’d be running late.” Fujigaya said softly, “I think he’s taking his marks, badly.” Yori sighed looking upset, “I wish he’d just ask for help already!”

Mizumi stood in line next to Ohno, while he stared at the food.
“You’ve been really quite today.” He said picking up at piece of fish and smelling it before putting it back.
“That’s disgusting you should at least keep it on your plate.” Jun said with a scrunched up face.
“I’m sorry I’ve just got a lot on my mind.” Mizumi confessed after grabbing a glass of water and some soup. “I’m also not very hungry.”
“Really? Do you need some medication?” Jun asked worried as they walked back to their table.
“I’m fine medicine man.” Mizumi said sending him a small smile.
“She must be if she’s messing with you.” Ohno said sliding his tray on the table and plopping down next to Sho who was reading and eating at the same time.
Mizumi ate her soup, but her mind was on what happened in the library after Sho left.
He was so sad, I’ve seen guys crying before but his tears pulled at me for some reason. Why was he crying? Why did he allow me to even hug him that way? Why DID I hug him that way? I’ve just seen him around in Piano class, but when he was crying…?
Mizumi mused even further into her thoughts as she sucked on her soup.
“Hey…” she whispered, “Are you alright? Do you want to talk about it?”
The guy jumped and whipped his eyes roughly, when he looked up at her and turned his head slightly.
“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to startle you, but I heard you…” She walked close to him and saw his eyes were full of grief, she felt her throat burn and wrapped her arms around him. It caught them both off guard and she stepped away quickly, “Sorry, Sorry, that was very, I don’t know what came over me.”
“It’s alright.” He said softly rubbing his eyes once more, “Thank you, I actually needed that.”
Mizumi felt her cheeks burn and saw a blush creep on his face as well. “I’ll um, I’ll see you around alright? yeah.” Mizumi answered her own question stumbling over her words and turned to walk away.
“MIZUMI!” She jumped and dropped her spoon, “Yeah? Sorry? What did I miss?”
