The One and Only Lover Series: Noriko and Sho
I finally finished it! And this is one of my favorite songs as the title, I don't think it fits the tone but I really love this song so hopefully it's fine. Anyway thanks for reading.
~Come Down ~
Noriko was happy to be at home, it had been a while since she could sleep in her own bed. Being a journalist for environmental science had her all over Japan. She was happy when she could get home and just relax with a hot shower and movies.
She walked into her room and fell on her bed groaning. ‘I should shower…’ she thought rolling the length of her bed, ‘that cab ride and airplane ride took way too long.’
Noriko planned her feet on the floor and stretching her arms above her head as she walked towards the bathroom.
She turned on the shower letting the water warm before sheading her clothes and stood under the blast of warm water. “Fuck yeah…” she moaned letting the water touch her skin. It was like heaven, or as close to it as she could get. She closed her eyes and that is when someone put their arms around her waist.
“What the fuc-” she started to yell when they turned her around so she could see the person properly. Sho was standing there with the smile on his face as naked as the day he was born. She screamed making him jump.
“Gomen…I wanted to surprise you, but I guess I scared you.” he pulled away and she kicked him in the shin.
“You jerk! I had a heart attack!” Noriko yelled hitting him to which he grabbed her arms. “Let me go.”
“Okay! I said sorry!” he glared and then let her go rubbing his chest where her fist connected. “I was just trying to surprise you.”
“You already said that.” She turned around and let the hot water run down her front, “It doesn’t excuse the fact that you scared the shit outta me.” She sighed, “Honestly I’m too tired to argue.”
“I…” Sho sighed and put his hands on her bare shoulders rubbing her neck and down her back. “I’m sorry love.” He kissed her neck and she moaned softly. “Truly…” he felt the goosebumps raise on her arms and let the smirk crawl on his face. “Not too tired huh?”
“Shut up.” She murmured as he kept rubbing her shoulders. They let the water spray over them and he pulled her back close to his front resting his chin on her shoulder.
They were like that for a while, just letting the water fall over them when he spoke, “I missed you.”
“I missed you too.” She said washing her body. He helped with her back and they both finished and got out of the shower, and toweled each other off. Walking into the bedroom.
They were clean, they laid down together towels, and spooned, “Why do you have to travel so much?”
“I could ask the same of you.” She sighed, “I love my job Sho…”
He didn’t say anymore but pulled her towards him tighter. “I don’t want to lose this warmth.”
She turned over and looked into his eyes. His hair was still slightly wet, she touched his cheek and smiled, “You won’t lose me you silly man. I love you too much.”
Noriko then kissed him softly on the lips. “You’re so much more than I could’ve ever wanted…I mean even though you scared me it was nice just having a relaxing shower with you.”
“I know…” he tugged at her hair. “Being with you is…”
“Yes?” Noriko probed.
“It’s just something I need. You’re something I need.” He buried his face close to her head. “You’d think saying things like that’d be easier.”
She smiled and shook him, “You know I feel the same way, and we just have a tough time expressing our feelings in words.”
He looked up from her head and looked into her eyes. “You’re right.”
His gaze was dark, and she knew what was coming when his lips touched hers. He was soft and safe, but he made her feel happy. His lips were soft on hers, and slowly they left her lips and landed on her skin.
“Sho…” she whispered lightly brushing his hair as he tugged off her towel. Noriko loved this man. She loved him so much it hurt sometimes. “I love you.”
She felt his lips part in a smile as he kissed her skin, and he showed her how much he loved her, how much he worshiped her, and cared about her in the way he couldn’t say in words.
Noriko loved him, and he loved her. Even if they had to be apart most of the time, in every moment, they never wanted to leave this warmth.
