So where I live is absolutely covered in the white stuff, which is what happens when your home gets a snowstorm/snowfall every five days and in between it never gets much above freezing temperatures. Luckily people shovel a lot here, so nobody has to walk in the snow (much) but just next to three/four feet piles of it between the sidewalk and the road.

However, whenever I see people killing time outside (on the phone, talking to somebody, waiting for their dog to do his business), they will always wander over to the snow piles and start crushing the edges of it with a foot.

I do it too! It's so random! I don't even get it? What is this snow-crushing phenomenon? Somebody explain this to me @_@
