oh, lawd, the memories. i remember eating all of these up when i was but a wee thing. 8D mm, political intrigue, particularly in the last one. i didn't know you were a fan of thundera as well. \o/ she does some really excellent stuff, and i'm glad she never took them down.

She's so awesome and I'm grateful she's not one of those authors that tries to erase evidence of early fanfiction (embarassing though it might be to the author there are people like me who are serious faaaaaaans of their work!). I didn't rec in particular any of her newer stuff but she's written between 10 and 15 new fics over the last several years.

Oh wow, this makes me want to reread LotR. I haven't read the trilogy in years, but those books (and The Hobbit) were my first hardcore fantasy love.

Least I can do! Not everything has to be about the pretty, haha!

I was a little ... surprised by the sheer prevalence of Legolas/Aragorn fics when the movies came out, and the fandom introduced me to the concept of RPS fic as well, gaaaaaaah. But partially because authorial intent is so clear, and partially because I have an abiding love for anything that is deep male/male friendship, I don't have an urge towards slashing the pretty or (ohgod) Legolas and Gimli (although I can see how people get that out of their relationship (OHGOD)).

But I will try to find more good Legolas/Gimli friendship fics for you! I know how rare they are.
