1. The first character I first fell in love with:
Syaoran. This is, of course, no surprise. =D It would be better to say I loved him already, as I've been a huge fan of his since CCS and his confused love for Sakura. He's just very haplessly sweet - a huge dork, really - and I love his martial skills and protective instincts.

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
Kurogane. He struck me as rather annoying at first, but as the series has gone on, I've loved how he pierces through the outer layer of everyone around him and goes straight to their heart and inner intentions - especially Fye, but everyone in general.

3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
Fye D. Flourite. I don't despise him, but I find him altogether far too cliche. He's just ... not that interesting to me.

4. The character I love that everyone else hates
uh ... I'm not sure. Is there a character universally despised? I expect Sakura may fit the bill, as a lot of people dislike her characterization in Tsubasa ... and again, ( ... )

XD;; Icon lurve.

Mixing manga and anime here.

1. The first character I first fell in love with
Edward Elric. I do have a thing for main characters. I also have a thing for .... self-haters, if you will. Edward fascinates me because so much of his life is centered on his own mistakes and correcting them, but he doesn't spend that much time angsting on-screen, especially in the manga. Still, it's clear he blames and hates himself for his mistakes. His determination to correct them is lovable. His love for his brother, which runs thicker than blood, just blows my mind. I adore his fighting skills, I love watching him grow up, and I love watching him overcome every obstacle thrown in his path. I also love that he's a genius. At alchemy - at nearly everything scientific. He appeals to the academic in me.

... wow, do I ramble or what? XD;

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
Ling. He's just ... pop in, pop out, and when Ed first fought his subordinates I didn't expect the character to last long, but ( ... )

Completely agreed with 1-4! And come to think of it, the last one would probably piss me off a little too.

Even the fics that are ... like, semi-con? Annoy me. I can't see Ed submitting to abuse like he does for no good reason, no matter how much he hates himself - it's too blantant.

OTOH, I can see Roy/Ed that's heavily coerced and terribly abusive, but if Ed felt like he were getting something tangible out of it, I could see him putting up with a wide range of abuses. If Envy offered to give Ed tidbits of information regarding the Stone in exchange for rough sex, for instance, I think Ed would say yes, in the end.

Aah, Harry Potter, my guilty pleasure. XD;

1. The first character I first fell in love with
Harry Potter. Down-trodden and confused, taking the ride through Hogwarts with this average-but-fun character was really nice. On the whole, Harry is a vehicle - which isn't unusual for main characters - for our ride through this adventure, but he's fun. =D

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
Mn ... I'd have to say Severus Snape. Everybody on earth loves him, it seems, and I have joined that crowd. At first he just irritated me, but his motivations and childish pettiness - not to mention torn loyalties, on multiple levels - makes him fun to read about.

3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
Draco Malfoy. He's a git. His motivation to be loyal to his family and the developments of the latest book made him more interesting, I suppose, but I still don't find him particularly fascinating. He's just ... there, being a prick, and everyone knows he's a prick, so whatever ( ... )

I still haven't finished the GAME DAMMIT! (and I watched the movie RAW!)

... plus I so do not know the fandom.

HEY. I COULD HAVE ASKED ABOUT FINAL FANTASY VII, YOU KNOW. XD

Actually, if you want to change it for One Piece, I'd be perfectly happy with that one, too. (Especially after your KuroTomo comments above. ♥)

Yay, you asked! =D

1. The first character I first fell in love with
Allen Walker. Boy, did I ever fall hard for him. Hapless, kind, befallen with misfortune at every step but determined to be optimistic nonetheless, infinitely forgiving, determined, well aware of his own faults and shortcomings, multi-talented, and a good fighter! He's working on edging out Syaoran for Favorite Character of All Time, but he's got a ways to go yet. XD;;

Oh, I forgot how very sneaky Allen is - I LOVED it when he whumped Ticky et al. at poker because he's actually a master cheat! =D

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
... gosh, I dunno. Miranda? It's funny ... she annoyed me during her introduction story, but at the same time, I couldn't help but admire her pluck despite her terror and failures. That she was willing to grow - to take the steps to turn herself around, to protect Allen when Allen was ruined in Rhode's Alternate Dimension, to not give up despite everything - I really started to like her. And as soon as ( ... )

6. The character I would shag anytime
....... uh .... it's a toss-up between Ticky Mick and Komui. Ticky is dangerous and cool, and I love his minor psychosis: "I really love people and hanging out with them ... but they're just SO MUCH FUN TO KILL!" He seems suave and like a dangerous lover.

Komui is just such a goofball and totally Rinali-sexual. Er. But I'd shag him. If, you know, it wouldn't keep him from watching over his precious baby sister at night. =D Okay, I'm exaggerating - he obviously knows when to let go because he lets her go on missions, which are obviously dangerous, but still. XD

Oh, and throw General Cross in there too. I think he's self-explanatory. XD;

7. The character I'd want to be like
Allen Walker, for all the characteristics mentioned above. He's so nice and sweet and kind. Also, a wicked cheat and bluffer at that. He's nicely rounded out and I wish I had that many talents!

8. The character I'd slap
Kanda Yuu. I'd also like to yank out the stick up his ass. =D

9. A pairing that I love
