I have had a brilliant day - one which i've been waiting for for ages. Finally was the saturday of mine and mum's mammoth shopping trip at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth. Its a new retail outlet place thats opened at Portsmouths Historic Docks and it is actually really really nice. Its an open site with loads of shops underneath the towering Spinnaker Tower - Portsmouth's Millennium Viewing Tower that opened this year - yep 2006!! brilliant!!
Was going there especially for the Monsoon retail place to get a dress for my up and coming formal events - but alas they only really had dresses in size 8 or 10!! But it wasnt a wasted trip...i managed to get a really nice black, elegant dress from M&S's Per Una Range and it had an extra 20% of its already discounted price which made me very happy =) i also got some pretty jewellery from the Claires shop - 30% off the prices - and i finally got a new pair of Vans since my lovely black and pink ones have finally died a death - bargin at £19 (retailed at £65 in shops!!) Mummy very kindly gave me playing money so i didnt have to touch Mr Natwest's at all - and her new man, David, had given her money to get us both dinner - so we went to a really nice pub/resturant called the 'Old Customs House' which as you may have guessed was in the old customs house. Had really yummy bbq chicken with apple crumble and custard for afters - and our waiter was really cute =)
Finally got back home at about 6ish and after making mum a cup of coffee she very kindly read through my dissertation, finding lots of grammar mistakes and sentances that were far too long - its really good to have someone proof read your stuff as when you tend to skim over these things if you look at it too much. But, overall she understood it (which is brill) found it interesting and cant wait to see it finished, in colour and bound (neither can i!!) Am going to get Marc to look over it next and get his input, then its back to Steph for a final say then hopefully i can take it to the bounders and its done!! I think i've been really lucky finding such an interesting topic and its been easy to write - good luck to everyone writing theirs now (thinking of you lots MG...if you want a proof reader email me the chapters when their done and i'll go over it if you want)
I am now completely exhausted and smell of bustling shops so am going to jump in the shower before bed - have work tomorrow at 9 - am opening the shop again - oooh such responsibility!!
