(no subject)
Summer colds still suck. I'm still tired. But I had a nice dinner last night (Indian) and good walk on thursday (I was really fast despite the heat because I had to meet Jess at Rita's for ice/custard). It's been really hot here lately and I'm not liking it one bit, no way.
Caught up on The Mentalist. Wow. I don't think anyone here watches, so I'm just gonna say two things. One, I never liked him. Two, Bradley Whitford looks like he's put on weight, but it was good to see him nonetheless.
Finished the last Sookie Stackhouse novel and am now at a loss. I want more! And I'm catching up with season three piecemeal, but could we please get some Sookie/Eric action shortly?
My essay this week is to analyze the role of rape in the film "Sankofa." So, I'm a little depressed, needless to say. It's going slowly because, well, I don't want to get into it. The film was interesting, but it's just a hard thing to write about.
So I'm off to watch The Civil War (it's on a membership drive showing on pbs), work on my essay and be at dad's in two hours for his birthday barbeque dinner.
