Crazy busy nutty day today. I think maybe voting makes people hungry? Anyway, it went by super fast, so that's all to the good. Then I went for my walk and saw a fox. Yes, an honest-to-goodness fox. Firstly, I didn't know we had any here, but dad says we do, so we must. Secondly, there is a boatload of paved highway, residential area and water between anything remotely like a forest and where I saw said red fox. Thirdly, it was on a beach. A sandy brackish beach. Anyway, it was cool and weird and odd and jarring and awesome and . . . yeah. The excitement for the day.
And then I voted, which was rather anti-climactic. Then there were library books to pick up, natch.
And all of this after dropping a crazy amount at Target (flannel sheets for mom and her guest bedroom, new salad plates that I've lusted after for about a year and a half, rechargeable batteries and a charger, a new cup for when the flower comes over and two halloween t-shirts on sale for $3 because a $3 shirt as soft as these ones? I even bought one in pink).
Finalized first dvd off the new dvd recorder. I. Love. It. To pieces. Seriously. It rocks. And I went for the 4-year protection plan because it was cheap and sometimes technology really really really hates me. (Other times, not so much and that's awesome.)
Also, french toast casserole rocks reheated. Frittata, not so much. So wtf do I do with it since I made a big-ass one (said it served 4, but that presumes that that is all that's on the menu)?
