PhD PLace

I've been accpeted for a 3-year PhD in Aber! Had the interview on wednesday, which was the longest, toughest, most like an exam interview I've ever had, but it seems I did ok!

The project is all about making mineralogical maps of the moon, then analysing different mineral abundences to shed light on various theories of lunar formation/evolution. I'll repeat that with everything I find cool in bold- I'll be making maps of the fricking moon and then doing science with them. Hell yeah :D

I'm going back down next week to get some summer reading, to sort out paperwork and decide when I start- hopefully 1st September, but if the funding paperwork takes longer then on the 1st October. I'm eligible to do a summer course with the SFTC (funding council) too, which my project superviser thinks will be a good idea, what with me being out of the physics world for a year now. So I'm looking into that too. WOO HAPPY!
