Gee, you and I are "chubbies", yet neither of us seem to be hurting for male appreciation. There goes that theory!

There is SO much wrong with the attitude behind those ads (I made it to the "beer" one before I closed the page in disgust) that I can't even figure out where to start. But I'll try. First, the idea that attracting a man is THE MOST IMPORTANT THING OMG is offensive to females everywhere. Believe it or not, guys, women have other things to do, and other things going for us, that don't involve your penises. We aren't just sitting around waaaaiiiting for your "cum"pass to decide our direction is "north". Amazing, I know!

Secondly: I know a lot of fat people. Few, if any, of us sit around eating all day. As a matter of fact, many of the fat people I know eat less than our skinny counterparts (myself included, most of the time). NEVER have I sat and eaten an entire pie right out of the tin, and NEVER have I lounged in bed sloppily stuffing my face with cupcakes. I don't know anyone who has. I don't end up with my face and body covered in food, either, by the way.

Third: Most of those fat people I know have boyfriends/girlfriends/spouses...and, in many cases, MORE than one love, not to mention admirers, all of whom think they're sexy as all hell.

Ugh. There's more, but I've already given this guy more of my time than he deserves. Mostly I feel bad for the heavy woman in the ads; to be a part of this degradation, she must not have much self-respect, and that makes me sad.
