My brother got a baseball scholarship to the UW today. Its up in the air as to how much money he'll be getting, but its a hell of an accomplishment, thats for sure. Ive been home for about half an hour, and when I got home, I opened up my Michigan packet, and spent some time in the past, trying to keep alive that accomplishment, because it was a hell of an accomplishment too, and unlike my brother, I did not get to see it live. That was definately for the best though.

I remember being really stressed about Fall and Winter quarter's finals, and although I have 4 finals this go-around, as compared to 2 in the Fall and 3 in the winter, I dont feel too worried. Math is review from last year, Ive programmed since 7th grade, and Econ is extremely easy/fun and is going to be my major. Chem is what it is, which means that I dont have to worry because I will preform to the best of my ability and fall in the 3.0 range which sucks like you cant believe, but its fine because what am I going to do, think its not fine? I cant change it, so I might as well just get the most out of the experience. One of the things Ive deduced about chemistry is that it is very acadic, because it sure isnt basic. And chemists all must have dipole moments at some time in thier lives. If my brain were a molecule, it would definately be electro-negative and have a see-saw shape, as opposed to a triangular bipyramid or something to that effect.

Im going to miss this quarter. All things aside, just in terms of academics, taking 19 credits of comparatively hard classes is a hell of a ride, but its worth it, especially if the classes you take are of interest to you. And the effort was successful. And the sun was out. Week 8 was some of the most beautiful weather to burn my back, shoulders and face in a long time. I will always look back positively on taking online econ quizzes with 20 other people, and being the leader of the group because I was always right and I stuck my neck out at the right times. Its fun arguing about economics with people and taking control of a group of relatively intelligent people for no other reason than they respect you and you have the guts to rest on your ideas. That was a fun experience, especially when my Econ TA told me that I would be a good economics major.

Anyways, chem was really hard, but worth it in every way. Academically, this quarter was one of exploration, and I found out some good things to know, and can direct my academic track a little bit better than before. We'll just have to see how finals go, right? Hmm... Im predicting a 4.0 in Econ and Math, a 3.7 in CSE, and a 3.0 in Chem. What the gpa doesnt reflect though, is how much I learned this quarter, both about the respective fields of study, and about myself.
