Best Father's Day ever
Slept in, made a leisurely breakfast, got prezzies, hit the farmer's market, took the kids swimming, and barbequed despite the weather. Couldn't have asked for more.
My presents from
a_pinkmonkey were new deck furniture for our very small deck, and a whole gang of new Tiki mugs, all from Goodwill (so much the better). She's the bomb.
The farmer's market had fantastic strawberries yesterday, and some great Asian veggies including fresh fenugreek leaves (great for Indian food) and Chinese broccoli (gai lan). I'm so glad produce season has arrived. I hadn't realized how much I relish fresh fruit that isn't bananas and apples.
On the decor front, we scored the last of the local Joanne's bamboo (esque) glasses, with matching pitcher and ice bucket for 50% off. The tiki bar is coming together. Mwahhaaahaaa!
