100 words: leash
Kit thinks this one will be difficult; I'm not so sure. Our topic of the week is "leash." Go bang out a 100 word short story and post it in the comments.
Last week it took me seven tries to get a story I liked. this week I have three or four ideas immediately. We'll see how they come together.
M reminded me of it with every assignment. Despite that, I was caught by the diabolical SMERSH operative Frau Hund Fänger.
"006, at last we meet," he chuckled. He stroked the vicious Doxen resting in his lap.
"You'll never get away with your evil plot."
"They said I was mad, 006. That I was INSANE. They were probably right."
He revealed the largest, thickest, continuous piece of leather I had ever seen in my life.
I exclaimed, "You fiend! A giant leash!"
"And now I'll unleash the largest canine the world has ever seen!"

You know, it's funny how that was interfering with my enjoyment of the story - I kept thinking that there was a joke I wasn't getting. I feel better now. :D
