What: Kanda killing things exploring the island's waterways and caverns.
Unlike some of the others on the ship, Kanda had no errands he'd been sent to run by anyone in Izlude. For one thing, he wasn't a damn errand boy. And for another, he had deliberately avoided most all human interactions while they were in the town.
He was aware that more people had joined their number on the ship, but he had chosen to keep his distance from them as well. In fact, since his and Allen's battle with the large jelly--the Mastering, he'd heard it called--Kanda had withdrawn from associating with people even more than usual. Not because of the battle itself, but because the shock of discovering that he gave a damn whether Allen Walker lived or died was one he hadn't quite decided what to make of yet, and Kanda was a man poorly suited to soul searching.
What he was suited to was combat, and he was starting to feel like it had been too damn long since he'd fought a proper foe, too long he'd just been sitting around, idle. He didn't bother to check the quest board, didn't want to ask for company. When they landed, he simply strapped the katana he'd been using around his waist and headed onto the island.
[OOC: So I'm trying something a little different here, in part because I'm trying to streamline coming off of hiatus/cover some of the time I missed, and in part to see if this might work well. I'll put up separate threads in the post, one for each day. All of them are open, so just pick a time when you'd like to run into Kanda, and tag in that thread. (Obviously, this means I'm assuming that he won't encounter anything that'll knock him on his ass the first few days or get him seriously injured so that he won't be able to return for the rest. So if you want to go after some big bad, maybe pick a slightly later day in the week.)]
