[OOC] Izlude Guide!rickwolFebruary 20 2011, 12:42:29 UTC
DOCKS Self explanatory Airship port That airship in the southeast area of Izlude is the Sleipnir for the time being. There aren't other airships porting there, though there will be talk about other transport lines besides the Sleipnir. Boat dock Located past an overlook in the northeast is an old dock. There used to be a boat here that would take adventurers to the dungeons out at sea. It's gone for now, a victim of one of many waves of monsters in the past. A new boat is being rebuilt at the boatswain's home in town.
Town Square There's some makeshift places for refugees to sleep, but for the most part it's still fairly easy to navigate through. It's still the hub for most of Izlude's activities and homes. Fruit Merchant & Baker stall Located right smack in the middle of town square, so to speak, the stall is more like a booth, specializing in fruits, baked goods, and the mixing of the two. Marketplace Located in the southwest corner of Izlude, the marketplace has a butcher, a grocer, and an accessories merchant all packed into one neat little area. Weapons/Armor Shop Located in the building in the northwest corner of town square sits a few kids running the shop for their busy parents. You'll find basic to slightly more advanced gear here for first job classes. That Weird Shop It's the one in the northeast corner of town square. Some weird machinery (even by native standards) sits in the center of the room. Dorian, the proud and flamboyant guy, will gladly boast to you about it or smack you before you get within arm's reach of it. What's with that corner? There's an oddly shadowy plaza in the southeast corner of town square. This used to be the place to find weird people. This still applies, but there's more weird people than before, some of them refugees who might be entertaining weird conspiracy theories. You might find an assassin or rogue here, as well, so watch your purses.
Arena The two buildings to the north just across the bridge once housed the arenas, where many an adventurer pitted their skills against one another in combat for prize money and fame. It's currently being used as a makeshift shelter to house many of the refugees from Prontera. Though many have moved on to other towns, many still remaine in Izlude in hopes of returning to their home in the nearby capital.
Swordsman Guild The Swordsman Class Guild has a long history of existing here in Izlude. They are proud to have been the source of training for many of Rune-Midgart's finest soldiers, knights, and crusaders. It's still quite a popular guild, moreso now than ever. The trainers do their best to keep up morale in these hard times. Guild Office Located across the bridge to the west lies the main building for the guild. Here is where most prospective novices register for a test to join, as well as seek further guidance. Hey, that 50-something year old guy behind the front desk looks familiar. He's not the guild leader, but there's something about him that's oddly familiar. His wife who brings him lunch is much shorter and looks even more familiar. And something about her sense of humor. Weird. Branch Office Directly opposite the guild office on the other side of town is the branch office. There's a training yard set up outside. Inside there's a merchant to help select armor and weaponry, as well as a representative from the Rune-Midgart army actively recruiting. There's also small dormitories for the training swordsmen.
Overlooks There are two of them: One to the northeast behind That Weird Shop and right before the docks, and the other is to the northwest behind the weapon and armor merchants. Both have benches for seating, though the one to the northwest has a commemorative statue. It's a bit dirty, but you might run into a member from the swordsman guild trying to polish it when he can.
