[ Signius pulled himself away from staring out over the landscape once the announcement was made, frowning slightly. He shouldn't have been surprised that there was a Kafra representative on the ship, nor should he be surprised that she was the one taking charge of some of these things. But even so, he seemed to be a little offput by it.

Against his better judgment, he made his way over towards the storage area. On one hand, he was a trained knight and had already seen such things before. On the other, he should probably at least become familiar with the Kafra representative, as they could be extremely helpful when things were needed. ]

[ He still didn't like the way that those words sounded or formed in his mouth. Even so, it was not Khepri's fault he was here so there was no reason to take it out on her. ]

Well war experience is definitely not the only thing you've got going for you. And one of the King's knights too? Now color me intrigued.

[ Khepri herself is all smiles, in part because being stuck as a ship kafra wasn't quite as exciting as she'd hoped it would be. ]

The ability to travel! See new sights, hear new sounds, all that exciting stuff. Thought mostly it was my brothers who gave me the idea; they're a part of the Cool Corps now and a good rivalry's always fun between siblings.

That doesn't sound like such a bad life. I always enjoyed traveling, though far too often it wasn't for such noble reasons.

A former knight, to be honest. I retired a few years ago.

[ If by "retired" he meant "was impaled on someone's sword" then he sure was telling the truth. ]

Besides, a knight does what he's commanded to do. It'snot always just and noble, but it's your job.

A knight may do what he's told to do, but as a man you've got your own brain, right? And while training to be a knight, didn't you learn all of those knightly commandments? If you ask me, upholding the honor of a knight seems a lot more important than being kept as someone's knight.

You are right, of course. I cannot argue with logic or beauty. Unfortunately there are some knights who do not believe in things such as honor.
