So...
I was just watching the news and they spoke about someone (a Greek) who uploaded a mocking video about Kemal Ataturk on youtube and everything pretty much went to shit. The Turkish media are in a fucking frenzy and said video got a couple thousand enraged responses...
Curious about what the hell the video was about, I went to youtube, watched it, read a few of the comments and then saw that it was a video response to something else and didn't just come out of the blue. And then realized that THAT video was also a response to something else.
Now let's get something straight... I've never been particularly patriotic, or chauvinistic for that matter. If anything, I'm more than glad to point out all the shit in my country. Apparently, I'm one of the very few.
The whole deal started out of a video on the 'crimes committed against the Macedonian people'. And by Macedonian, the person meant the people of FYROM. Now I know they hate to be called that, but up till a few years ago, the region I live in was (and still is) called Macedonia. And it has been since ancient years. I don't care if we married off to other Balkan nations, I don't care if every single one of us here is not genuinely Greek, I just know that I can never find it in my heart to call those people Macedonians. Nothing against THEM personally, but I simply can't.
Anyway... that video quite obviously got a huge number of responses, both angry and praising (depending on the nationality of each poster) and then some Turkish guy posted a video response about how all Greeks are gay and homosexuality has its roots in ancient Greece. And then some Greek posted the Kemal Ataturk video.
My stand on all this? Fuck. Off. And. Die.
All of you. Greeks, Turks, 'Macedonians'... every fucking one of you x.x
Those videos were all SO stupid that I felt my IQ drop by a hundred points just by watching them. How fucking narrow-minded must one be to consider homosexuality an insult nowadays? Just how stupid must one be to praise what can only be described as a video a FIVE year old would find funny? Actually, that's an insult to five-year-olds, so never mind.
I'm fucking sick of all the stupid 'fighting' and whose land is whose and who beat who in what war... I don't even see what the fuss is all about. Everyone acts like a kid over land that is slowly but steadily on its way of earning the title of 'the asshole of the world' with the kind of inhabitants it has.
