Google still can't find anything incriminating on me. Score! However, Googling myself did turn up the interesting fact that the famed Crom yews, located on the estate of Crom Castle, are some 800 years old, making them the oldest trees in Ireland. The trees "embody majesty and the spirit of regeneration," much like myself.

Yay for this weekend! Thursday night I went to Apex with Andrew Jones and some of his friends. It was nice to go dancing and not be groped once, quite simply because the guys there are uninterested in any of the gropable body parts I have. It was extremely crowded and hot. Andrew Jones and I danced almost the whole time, which was loverly, until I grew faint with heat and had to lean against the wall.

Watched the Battlestar Galactica (sp?) premier with the Rachels and Joe Friday night. It was depressing (probably should have seen that one coming--it is, after all, a drama about the antics of the 40,000 humans who survive being wiped out by a race of fundamentalist robots--hilarity does not ensue), but despite the downer factor, I'm looking forward to watching the rest of the season.

Saturday and Sunday highlights included seeing Blair(!) for about an hour at Nina's. We didn't really have time for a long conversation, but I consider that the teaser before the actual feature film comes out on August 8th. As Fast As/2 Skinnee J's concert with Rachel M. and Mazur--pure awesome. AFA was more mellow than my usual tastes, but I enjoyed their set a lot, and I enjoyed Rachel's CD of their predecessor, Rocktopus, even more. I've know about/liked 2SJ for two years or so, but after seeing them live I like them exponentially more. Great stage presence highly crowded audience energy levels approaching nuclear = sad that their reunion tour is over. Sunday's party at John Manning's included Danny Jones, Maeve, brie and raspberry toast, and a playground, so worth hauling up to Baltimore.

Said goodbye to Andrew Jones last night. Won't see him in the face until January. London is going to rock his pants off though (hopefully literally) so I suppose I can forgive him for leaving me.
