Dana, Blair, Rachel Mooney, Andrew Jones, and I went to see a midnight showing of Harry Potter last night. Great fun was had by all. I had two hot dogs, a coke, and most of a package of Twizzlers, and consequently am feeling mildly hungover today. Although that might also be due to the fact that we got to bed around 3:30 am.
I really enjoyed the movie, although it was my least favorite so far. This Slate review describes what was good but not great about it much more eloqently than I ever could. For the first time ever, I actually agree with pretty much everything Dana Stevens has to say.
"The whole Hogwarts faculty is so beautifully cast, it reinforces the American impression that in Britain great actors must be piled up on the side of the road in heaps."
