The other day, I had to help someone use the copy machine in the library. This guy is one of our regulars. He has very curly hair, a beard, glasses, and seems to be incapable of doing anything for himself. Black and white copies cost 5 cents, so he stood there with several nickels in his hand while I programmed the copier to use the correct paper

Oh god. I know exactly who you're talking about, too... he's a bit barrel-chested, right? Yeah, I got stuck helping him a couple weeks ago. I didn't have to put up with that but had to hear about his abusive childhood--which is horrible, but odd coming from someone you don't even know. I didn't know what to say.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's the same guy. I wouldn't know how to react if someone I didn't know started telling me about their abusive childhood either. I mean, they obviously need someone to talk to, but I'm not a psychologist. I just wouldn't know what to do.
