What's with all this MySpace fucking spam!? As if a denying dumb sluts occasionally wasn't annoying enough, now I have to deny 20 fucking spam bots every few hours. Eat my ass, Tom.
Went to a new brewery tonight - Emerald Hill, it was -fucking- -horrible-. Pale Ale and Wheat Beer, they both tasted pretty much exactly like coopers yeast would taste like if you concentrated it and mixed it with water, only the pale ale also had an additional yeast aroma. It is a mockery to the craft brewing scene that people/brewers like this exist, and it stands as an insult to anyone that takes a real interest in brewing. Where did these people get the money to start a brewery? And why are there empty coopers extract packets lying around the place? Are you for real? A brewery? If a friend made homebrew that tasted like this i'd be ashamed of them. It's like someone had a buttload of money lying around and thought "Hey... what can I invest all this spare cash in that will make me lots of money? I know! Craft beer! That's a growth industry! Figures have shown people are going nuts for beer! I'm going to be rich! I always wanted to have a brewery..." despite not having any passion or inspiration or love for beer at all. I saw the brewer pour a beer that came out BLACK (that's right), which signified that it's obviously time to change kegs. Fucking jerk. Some people fucking disgust me. How can they live with themselves?!?!?!?! It's been a a bad week for Brendan, and this topped it off.
On a much better note, I just got back from the first show I've been to of the Melbourne Underground Film Festival, and it was none other than Lloyd Kaufman's brother's first movie Mother's Day (1980), a slasher horror film like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, only more... Troma, and with practically his whole family starring in it. Lloyd was there to meet us and introduce and talk about the movie, as was Toxic Avenger and Sgt. Kabukiman, and there was a few people that came in with him filming it (groupies?), but other than that.... it was pretty much just me and about 5 other people. It was pretty awesome actually. Lloyd walked in with a handy cam, and panned around the room, making sure to take in all of the empty seats, and eventually ended up focussed on me, being the only person there at the time (11pm, screening time). He didn't even seem phased by it, it was like this happens all the time. Awesome dude, so much respect for him. I want to keep ranting about what he talked about and how awesome and hilariously funny he was, but noone probably cares, so I'll just leave it at that. He's doing a speach tomorrow and then showing 6 more films, I'll probably go to 3 or 4 more when I've got some more cash. If anyone cares to join me let me know. Troma fucking owns all of you!
