Glad to hear you're doing well. I'm not on LJ much at all anymore but did want to wish you a happy birthday.
I had a mess up repaired to the foot. Broke the second toe a while back. Had it looked at at a walk-in place while I was out of town. They said it was "just a toe" and that I didn't need to follow up with my doctor. Flash forward a couple of YEARS. Learned that they never should have taped the second toe to the big toe. Second toe is still broken. Big toe dislocated. Now sport screws to hold that where it's supposed to live and that's what is healing currently. Stitches come out next week unless diabetes decides to complicate matters.
My hubby has been working again for a little over two years after having been laid off for two years. Grateful! And my daughter is in the throws of applying to the Navy for their Nuclear Propulsion program and Officer Candidate School after graduating last May. From a school which had a corps of cadets but she went as a civilian. So we'll see how that turns out. Her technical interview is tomorrow so she's a WHOLE lot of fun to be around today. (only not so much)
