My Birthday.
It was my birthday on Monday and I want to say thank you to everyone who made it a very special day.
I only got gifts from Amy as I don't need anything so I asked for any money that would have been spent on a gift to go to a charity instead.
I don't want to sound like I am patting myself on the back because it gave me the greatest happiness to think the money is helping others.
Thanks to all the special people in my life who went to the trouble to use the money jointly to pay to adopt a child in Africa and to sponsor several animals.
I reckon that beats Belgian chocs, a few good books and some socks anyday. :D
Amy bought me a beautiful art book, some history books and a sweater.
We went out for a meal and a few drinks and then we had an early night. Perfection!
