(no subject)
Hey everyone.
I haven't posted in a while so I figured I'd catch y'all up on things here.
I'm living by myself now in a basement apartment. It's my first time to live by myself, so it's a bit different, but I like it. I've had a mold problem in the bedroom though, and it's actually made me quite sick. This latest infection has been very rough and the medicine is possibly worse, but supposedly these side effects only last a few days. Either way, if you pray, I could use some prayers for my health.
School is going well. I took a 20th Century Music History class this summer and did very well and enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. I had passed the 20th Century section of my Entry Exams, but decided to take the class anyway since that aspect of Music History wasn't hit on very hard at USM...not while I was there anyway.
I've decided that if I do continue on and attempt a Doctorate, I'm likely going to try hard to get into IU and work towards a PH.D in Ethno, but with a secondary concentration in Linguistics.
I had all of my wisdom teeth taken out close to 3 weeks ago, and as a result haven't practiced in almost 4 weeks. I had no complications with the surgery though, which is quite relieving.
No girlfriend yet, but I'm sorta casually dating a girl at a nearby college. She's about to graduate with an undergrad in Music Ed., and wants to continue towards a Masters in Music Therapy, which is cool cause I've never really talked with anyone about that end of our field.
I saw the new Harry Potter movie last night and was somewhat disappointed. I may have just been expecting too much, but I think it will end up being one of those movies that is much better when it comes out on DVD, so they can add in all of the "missing" scenes. It'd make it almost twice as long, but it'd make more sense.
