Well, it has been a while since I have said anything on here, so I figured I'd make a slight update. Not a whole lot is going on with my life. I just finished a paper on brass-making in Nuremberg. I make a trip to SC in December, before I leave to go home, for Museum business. I'll be checking out the brass collection there and picking up some trumpets for our collegium here. Also, while there I'll be meeting the curator of the collection there, who also writes the historical brass articles for the ITG journals, so that will be fun.

I'm looking forward to going home for the christmas break. It's good to travel and live other places because you can therefore have a better idea of what you like and what you don't like. Now that I've been here, I know that I don't like Midwesterners, for the most part.

It's been a very lonely semester, but I can't seem to get up enough energy to majorly complain about it. It's mostly been a reverse of how things were at the beginning. The things that were going horribly wrong when I got here are now going great, and the things that seemed great at first are now horrible.

I never thought I'd miss it, but I miss having that apartment with Ben. I miss having a place that friends could come to and feel free to hang out and unwind whenever they wanted. I miss having friends to do that with. In general I've been suprised to find what I miss and how much I miss it.

Well, enough about me, I hope everyone's doing ok and had a nice mini-break for Thanksgiving. Take Care!
