Honestly, I am a bit freaked out by the sender.
First of all, I get a strong sense that the word "commitment" is meant to be spoken with withering sarcasm, and that's unsettling.
Second of all, on Postsecret Chat they pointed out that the children and grandchlidren might be entirely hypothetical. Odd bartering chip.
Thirdly, they're offering money as a reason to stay with a lover? That's sending off alarm bells right there.
And the way that they describe the lover's wife as "Not normal" -- that vague phrasing makes me think of a wife who may have some kind of mental disorder, in which case the abandonment of such a wife should be calculated to damage her worse than it would be to abandon a "normal" wife.
The guy shouldn't be cheating, true, but the secret sender shouldn't be trying to justify what I'm going to assume is love with money and "stick with me, I'm normal!"
