transportation woes of the downtown 6 and oscar bluemner

i have decided now that i could probably live in the whitney forever. i'd sleep in the secret conference room on the fifth floor and eat all three meals in the cafe in the basement and read art books in the middle of the night and dance in the courtyard.
but on a more practical note. should i come home, or partway so, for halloween distractions and excursions (by the way what should i be?!) and see persons of great importance in my life who i've been missing for a while (and those who i saw two wkends ago too...)and also take photographs of pretty trees and colorful things (in black&white, naturally), and not be in the city during rain and messiness; or should i stay here, be a good nycares volunteer and actually attend family day at the whitney, helping scores of small children create an art exhibit, and getting a)free breakfast B)a free tshirt and c)free lunch and theoretically playing at dallin's apt thingy and other related opportunities for ridiculous. harumph.
i made eggplant parm with the bizarre addition of big round noodles. it was subpar, but what wasn't subpar was utterly relaxed essence of the monday night dinnerpartyness, and the warmfuzzywine feeling that's lingering in my legs. YUM.
