FAN-FUCKING-TAB-U-LOUS weekend!
Yes... it was.
I stayed home all week, because I am the new one to the group of addicts of Sex and the City. Now... I know that I am behind the times. But due to the ever-loving nature of Ash, she has borrowed me Season 1 and 2 and I watched that every night till 3 in the morning and then finished it up the next "afternoon" when I got up! I now have 3 and 4 in my possesion and though it may be evil, because I should be GETTIN IT DUNNNN- I LOVE IT!
Friday was Carrolton's homecoming. Normally, I wouldn't give 2 shits about that-but my beautiful cousin was on court, so it was a big deal. Her mom, my godmother was homecoming queen in her day, so it was even more of a deal. The whole fan-damily was there plus some of my dearest friends, supportin! We went to the parade, signs, noise-makers and confetti in hand and watched as she looked gorgeous in her hot pink dress ride by in a hot ass porche! I also started drinking at 3 pm that day!! WHOO HOO! It was a beautiful day, and even though she didn't make queen, we all had a blast. We went to the game till half time, (I think that they got their asses STOMPED- oh well!) watched the festivities, took pics and then headed to the local C-town bar, where I continuued to be well on my way to "I don't care about anything right now and I LOVE everyone!" The night was capped off brilliantly by Erik coming in town and joining with all my crazy ass family and friends, drinking and singing karaoke till the wee hours. My dad was drunk and I don't think that I have ever seen him that way! It was freaking hilarious! He kept yelling, "Kell, I am out of control! I am so popular, everyone keeps buying me drinks!" I had such a blast. It was perfect.
Soooo.. now it's down to business. Ok, wait.. I Lie. I am getting ready to go to Steph's new place for dinner, then to Ric's for a bit and then to a benefit at the Pub for Hurricane Katrina. So, THEN it is all about GETTIN IT DUN. Monday night, after work, I am heading to Erik's to spend the night, to wake up to LOTS to do in Ypsi on Tuesday! I have appointments all day, to look at apartments, talk to professors and maybe make it to the Ann Arbor OG. I have to re-apply for a job there! I think that is a little weird. I was under the impression that I could walk in and be like, "Hey, I am Kelly, I have been with this company for 7 years. When can I start?" But.. alas, that is not true. Oh well, not worried about it.
So, I guess that I am really going to do this.
And every time I think about it, I can't help but smile.
