Whenever I play guitar, I wish I had played more guitar the previous day so I wouldn't have to work so hard to get back up to where I used to be yesterday. Motherfucking catch 22 and shit. Whenever I work on playing, my songwriting sucks. Whenever I work on songwriting, my playing sucks and my songwriting still sucks but not as much. I'm trying to find that balance where I can keep up the playing at a pretty high level but still work on songwriting a lot so that way anything I can come up with I can play. It used to be I would come up with crazy shit that I couldn't play at all, but now that I can play it I can't come up with any crazier shit. I need more brains, more fingers, more time and more sleep
