i thought instead of trying to think of everything that made 2005 the best and worst year yet id look back at old LJ posts to remind myself of the wonderful times with amazing people that are forever etched into my memory..
these are in chronological order.
January 10, 2005:
me and holly went to charlie's funeral last night. it really bothered me. he was only 21. he wasn't old enough to die. it's not fair.
February 26, 2005:
its just being with those people, listening to them sing at the top of their lungs, not understanding a word that they speak, but in a strange way, knowing exactly what theyre trying to say. we look different, we talk different, everything about our lives and cultures are different. but we're the exact same. there's something so amazing to me about that.
March 13, 2005:
it's been two years to the day.
and im sure the view from heaven
beats the hell out of mine here.
April 03, 2005:
spring break, went to sunset with lauren, lindsey and amanda. that was good times. met lots of people. had some good laughs.
May 10, 2005:
there's been tons of us time lately and i've loved it. i had really missed it and i think i took it for granted last year. im glad i have 63 more years with that girl.
May 16, 2005:
i had a great surprise this weekend. when i got home from the most horrible 2 hours of my life spent at AC Reynolds i had this beautiful girl from Virginia (BETHANY) waiting for me at my house.
June 25, 2005:
this past week was amazing. God showed me so much. i realized for the first time in my life that i constantly fill myself with temporary happiness and that the only way to achieve eternal happiness is through Him.
July 05, 2005:
im in love with summer. and dave matthews. the concert was amazing.
July 18-22, 2005:
i loved mars hill this year and council D was the crunkest council to be in. i loved every single one of them.
July 22-29, 2005:
this is the fourth time i have visited the City of Children and it is the fouth time i have returned speechless and in awe of the amazing ways that God works. the kids that i met and the relationships i continued are beyond words. its the love that is shown at all times and the hugs that break down any language barrier. it's the smiles on the faces of 100 mexican orphans and knowing that you put it there. i am genuinly happy, and i havnt been able to say that in a long time. i havent stopped smiling since ive been home, and i dont think i will anytime soon. i like the person i have become because of this place.
karly julie and i were able to start and complete our project we have been working on all year. there now stands a library complete with 4000 books in spanish ready to be checked out and read by all those kids.
August 21, 2005:
this year will be good. there is no other choice. i will have fun and be someone other people enjoy being around. i promise.
September 05, 2005:
a lot of stuff happened this weekend, but for some reason i have this peace about it and i know everything is going to be ok and i actaully feel like a lot of good is going to come of it.
September 15, 2005: [this was not originally written in LJ]
this was a day that no one in the junior class of butler high school will ever forget. a day that tore everyone apart but in an eerie way brought us so close together. Andy will never be forgotten and has sincerely changed all of us more than we can say. we all met an angel and not everyone is that lucky. only the good die young.
November 18, 2005:
today hit home, and brought back horrible memories.

i havnt posted since then as you can see. i havnt really felt like it and i dont even think people read this. i think it is more for me now, just to vent and get things out there. i always feel better when i write things down.
my break was wonderful. i love my family and christmas time. our trip was awesome and coming home to amazing friends was great. i love everything right now.
thank you to everyone that made 2005 that much better for me. even if you dont know it, if i ever talked to you, laughed with you, hung out with you, or just said hello to you, you have made a difference and i really appreciate you.
do this for me:
what is your favorite memory of us in 2005?
