Yay! Congratulations to The King's Speech. Well, I'm still in the Oscar-mood xD.
To be honest, it's quite a pleasure watching this year Oscar. I mean, the Best Picture belongs to The King's Speech, just as I was expecting. Among those 10 movies, I'm just interested in The King's Speech, 127 Hours, True Grit and Inception. It's good that one of them won the Academy xD. Normally, the movies which I like never won the Oscar for the Best Picture, really. Except The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, No country for old men, there were Up, Up in the air and The Blind Side for last year, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button for the year before, Letters from Iwo Jima, Brokeback Moutain, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers... They were all nominated, but none of them won. My taste is that strange ;____;. Fortunately, this year one of them won. It's not really important to me, I mean the Academy Award, but still, I feel very happy for this xDDDDDD.
Frankly, Inception is the one I love most out of 10 movies. But overall, Inception couldn't win against those others, about both the content and the acting. Sounds and visual effects are its strong points. And it won the Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing and Best Visual Effects after all. It even won the Best Cinematography, that's way too far beyond my expectation.
Toy Story 3 got the Best Animated Feature Film. Pixar again, as usual. I'm actually a big Pixar's fan, but sometimes, I really wish other movies to get this one. It's been 4 years in a row for Pixar already. Besides, The Illusionist is really interesting. I haven't watch any nominations for Best Animated Short Films this year, but I'm gonna watch those soon, because La Maison en petits Cubes and Father and Daughter are amazing <3333.
The only thing that I don't like is that Christopher Nolan wasn't nominated for Best Director ;___;. How unfortunate!!! His works are brilliant so far. Memento, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, The Dark Knight and now is Inception. They're all good, with good plot, good strategy, and they all have creative ideas.
Some more things. I really love it when it came to the Academy Honorary Award with the whole theater stood up, and clapping like never ended. They all admire and respect their seniors, who are so-called legend for real. And in the Academy Awards Presentations this year, Smile was performed by Celine Dion. I love her, I admit it, but I can't stand her Smile version. It's way too slow and plaintive, so different from the feeling that Rod Stewart's version brings to me ;_____;. But yeah, the video which was showed along the song is really touching ♥.
