Family: Mother, Long Chu ( 40). Her father died in a car accident when Kim was still a baby.

First impression: " Are you a relative of those other Asians? You look like them."

TEN TRUE FACTS AND A SECRET.

1. When Kim was only a few months old, her dad was sadly killed in a car accident on his way home from work one late evening. He went a bit too fast and couldn't stop when it slipped off the road and crashed into a building. Her mother and herself stayed in Hanoi for a few years, but then moved to Liberty shortly after Kim's 10th birthday. She would like a father figure in her life, but her mother refuses to find a new husband, so she's settled with that it will just be the two of them. And since it's only the two of them, she quickly became self-sufficient, taking care of chores at a young age.

2. Straw hats = Her favourite accessories. She has a collection of them at home, and some are even handmade by herself. A nice hobby of hers, she's quite creative and good with her hands. Another thing she likes to wear, is the color green. Most of her clothes have green on them, and either made by herself, or her mother. She can't even remember the last time they bought clothes from the store.

3. She loves flowers, especially the lotus flower, which is the national flower of her home country Vietnam. Her second favorite is the lily, and their home is filled with both of those flowers, including a few others, such as roses and tulips. Also music, and she sings often when she's alone. Often she applies a little bit of lotus scented perfume, just to add a touch of femininity to herself. Yet, she'll probably never reach the same femininity level as Mei.

4. Kim's best friend is her mother. The two have a great bond, and share everything. It's been the two of them ever since her father died. Sometimes they even trade clothes, since they're the same size and likes a lot of the same things when it comes to fashion. Which is often the traditional dresses of Vietnam.

5. Her favorite subjects in school are Art, Music, P.E and French. After discovering Vietnam was actually under French rule way back, she wanted to explore the country France a little more, hence taking French. And of course, the language is beautiful, and Kim likes pretty things.

6. When it comes to boys, she's waiting for Mr. Right, and has also promised herself and her mother to stay a virgin until she's married. Her mother is determined to find Kim someone, though, and he MUST be Asian. The best would be of course if the boy was Vietnamese. And buddhist. At least her mother thinks so. Kim doesn't really care where he's from or what religion he believes in, as long as he's not a jerk.

7. Kim loves sports. She's an athletic girl, and practices soccer and gymnastics in her free time. She's good enough to compete, but she keeps it at hobby-level. Growing up without a father has not prevented her from becoming a slight tomboyish.

8.
She was brought up buddhist and to treat people with respect. She has a small Buddha statuette in her room, right next to her grandfather's miniature temple. She's very fond of it, and makes sure it's always clean, by dusting and wiping it at least twice a week. As a Vietnamese she could've pretty much picked whatever religion she wanted, but her mother believes strongly in Buddhism, so she was simply raised with it, and she likes it anyway.

9. Her goal is to get through college with good grades and get a good job in design. Her mother is really good at making clothes, and Kim wants to follow in her footsteps. And of course marry a nice guy when everything school-related is over with. For now, her focus is on her education.
Speaking of education, even before she left to the USA, she was already learning a bit of English back in Vietnam. Not much, but a few words and at least how to say " How are you?" and " My name is....".

10. Kim's favourite defense object is her beloved paddle. She's had it ever since she was little, and can use it like a freaking bo staff. Not that she's really needed it much, but it's a nice thing to have just in case. Plus, it makes a cute decoration on her bedroom wall. The time she did have good use for it, was when she was little and back in Vietnam, she was often down by a river close to their house, using it to row a small boat she had. She wishes she had that boat still, as she misses the river as well. Being outside is something she loves. She's even saving up money to buy a new boat. Row boat of course.

11. Even though it's never gonna happen, Kim has always wished for a sister or brother, but since she'll never get one, the closest thing she's got for siblings are Mei and Yong Soo. She sees Mei as the sister she never had, and their mothers have been friends since... she doesn't know. Unlike Mei, she has a more laidback outlook on life and doesn't worry too much. And with Yong Soo... Even though he annoys her a LOT, he's still fun to hang out with.

Secret:
She has a crush on Yao. But would never admit it. Luckily, she's good at hiding it, so someone would have to look really hard to figure this out. It's mostly thanks to him she got good grades in Math. Although, if you confront her with this fact, she'll  first deny it, then consider hitting you with her paddle.

PS: She eats a lot of noodles. A LOT. It's amazing she keeps her petite figure, really.

Man, I hope this is good enough! >.<
I also added a few things that I sorta see when I look at pictures of the character Vietnam.
This DOES give a little picture of how she's like.... Right? I've gone over this ten times now, and it's pretty much burned into my brain.
