Eleven on Top & Galactica

I got it yesterday from the library. I guess I should already have learned that reading books in the Stephanie Plum books while commuting can be hazardous. I just had to stop reading the book until I got home when I almost burst into loud laughter in the bus after Stephanie's mom fell in the wedding cake and started having a cake-war with Grandma Mazur :D. Ranger was great as always and the tiny revelations about the mystery man just make you more curious about him.

Stephanie's new job has all kinds of possibilities if she decides to stay in Ranger's employment instead of going back cousin Vinnie's bonding agency. Still, Ranger can be quite scary at times, if you think about it. I'm not sure what would have happened to the baddie if Stephanie hadn't wanted to vent some of her anger at the end of the book.

I also recently watched the Battlestar Galactica miniseries on dvd. I loved the original series as a teen, but think it's pretty cheezy nowadays, so I was curious about this new version of it, especially since some people on my f-list seem to be big fans of the new series. The miniseries looked quite interesting and I think I'll have to check on the further episodes at one time or another (read: when I can afford the dvd set...)
