LOL! I've clearly been watching too much Asian stuff. Just a minute ago two young Korean guys came to my door, wanting to discuss religion (some kind of missionaries, I bet). After I refused, I automatically gave a slight bow before closing the door. I've done that before when visiting the Japanese market, where I also automatically bowed without thinking about it.
I guess it's quite similar to what happened to one of my friends after we'd been watching some Indian movies together: she'd dropped her wallet on the street and when she went to pick it up from the person who had found it, she put her hands together and said "Shukriya" (thank you in Hindi) :D.
