Kisna

It was beautiful, colourful, moving film that had very good music and lots of catchy tunes, BUT... Despite my liking for A.R. Rahman's music, I must say that this film felt like a veeerrry long compilation of music videos interspersed with very brief snippets of story :/. The music was great, but I would have preferred the story to be a bit stronger.

I did like the actors, Vivek Oberoi's bearded long-haired look

was very nice, and the British actress Antonia Bernath was believable in her role.

Isha Sharvani, who played Kisna's jealous fiancée, was IMO there only to show her amazingly good dancing skills in tight-fitting costumes for the male audience to ogle at, and to be jealous of Katherine. Her character didn't really have any depth to it and seemed to be there only as a countering force against the Kisna-Katherine romance. But then
I thought Katherine's damp white (almost see-through) clothing after dipping into Ganges and meeting Kisna on the riverbank was surprisingly risqué for an Indian film, so I guess this was yet another of those films where the women were there only appear beautiful and for the heroic males to rescue...

Hrishitaa Bhatt's small appearance as Kisna's friend's wife was fun and Sushmita Sen's item number, Chilman Utthegi, was also very enjoyable.

During the carriage ride sequence, I was instantly reminded of the Bollywhat member Kaya's stories about her experiences as an extra on the sets of Kisna, especially during the filming of the scene.
