First of all, welcome to new people on my f-list. My name is Tarja, I work for an ICT company in their so-called 24hour team (though I don't do night shifts. normally) doing outsourced telephone operator, call centre, telephone conference kind of stuff. Mostly boring stuff, really, but it pays the rent. This is mostly my fannish journal, though I do also have some real life stuff every now and then.
Having been on sick leave for almost a week already, I've been taking this opportunity to finally clear some stuff from my watch folder and maybe actually finish some half-watched dramas *gasp* (I have a tendency to start stuff and drop them midway for something else).
Today's drama is Snow White which I enjoyed but just stopped watching four episodes from finishing because I got distracted by something shinier. Or maybe it was just the mid-drama slump most kdramas go through.
Watching these episodes reminds me how I hate when the plot revolves around misunderstanding and miscommunications that could easily be resolved if the leads just talked with each other instead of staying silent and moping about things. And I hate the sacrifice yourself for the other persons's career trope :P. Sigh. But despite some of this stuff, the main pair is just adorable together and do manage to work things out pretty well.
And Lee Wan is just yummy. I definitely will watch his lifeguard drama, Let's Go to the Beach one of these days. For the eyecandy, if for nothing else :).
Speaking of eyecandy, Arashi's
Sakurai Sho in one of AnAn's traditional "naked" photoshoots... *enter keymash* Definitely NSFW!!!
you are paleturquoise
#AFEEEE
Your dominant hues are green and blue. You're smart and you know it, and want to use your power to help people and relate to others. Even though you tend to battle with yourself, you solve other people's conflicts well.
Your saturation level is low - You stay out of stressful situations and advise others to do the same. You may not be the go-to person when something really needs done, but you know never to blow things out of proportion.
Your outlook on life is bright. You see good things in situations where others may not be able to, and it frustrates you to see them get down on everything.
the spacefem.com html color quiz Icon Meme
I've done this meme a few times already, but it's always fun to see which icons people choose :)
Leave me a comment with a random silly phrase of your choice in it.
I will pick six of your icons and send you to your LJ to spazz over them.
pashoshi chose these:
This is Lara Dutta and Abhishek Bachchan from the Bollywood film Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost. I don't really have that many Bollywood inspired icons nowadays, since I don't talk about that fandom that much either. This has been my all-purpose "you need a hug" kind of icon ever since I made that is great to use when commenting to a post where somebody is feeling down.
Battlestar Galactica and Lee and Kara. Very OTPish at times, and this is definitely one of the moments which is why I got the icon. But I still haven't seen more than two seasons of it (got distracted :/), but have amazingly enough managed to stay unspoiled for the rest! And will kill anyone who spoils me now :P!
The infamous pig-rabbit surgery from You're Beautiful. The hero decides to make a plushie combining a pig and rabbit plushies since they remind him of the gesture the heroine is constantly making. The drama was light and frothy, and I loved some of the humour in it. And the pig-rabbit really is adorable :).
Oh, Takki. My first JE love and still among my favourites. This is from a
promo picture for the jdrama Antique, which, despite the amazing cast (Takki, Shiina Kippei, Fujiki Naohito, Abe Hiroshi is such a complete and utter dud. So boring and confusing :P
Still, I wouldn't say no to strawberries and cream with Takki...
I love Tonari no Totoro and have ever since I saw the film from local tv long time ago. So cute! I like most of Hayao Miyazaki's other films as well, some more than others, but they have been consistently good. And it doesn't hurt that he made a film based on one of my favourite YA authors' books (Howl's Moving Castle).
TOKIO. I just wanted to have a TOKIO icon or two in addition to just Nagase icons, so I deliberately chose some concert-type icons.
Random extra comment: funny thing is that 4/6 of these icons are made by me. I like iconing even though the results are varied. Sometimes I just get the urge to take a million screencaps of some drama or use promo pics or something else and spend hours in front of my Mac trying to get the crop and the colours and everythings just right :).
My icons are almost always just simple crop-resize-fiddlewithcolours type of things. Most of the time I'm too lazy for any more artsy stuff.
