1. Comment to this entry saying 'ICONS!' and I will pick 6 of your icons.
2. Make an entry in your own journal and talk about the icons I picked!
Here are the icons
fenchurche picked for me:
Hee, four of them are actually made by me!
This is Rose Red, i.e. Snow White's sister from Fables. The main premise of the comics is that various fairy tales characters are real and are living in our world.
I chose Rose Red in this particular pose as a multi-purpose icon to represent myself, because for the longest time I used to have very shortish hair that I died red. And her kind of fed-up expression is also very good on commenting on this-and-that :).
This is Jaya Badhuri Bachchan, an Indian film star playing a Gypsy-ish character in the film Zanjeer. This is another multi-purpose one for me, since it's good for pirate days (ARRR!!!), feminist commentary and any kind of comment where I feel like I'm annoyed with something.
Ah, Yamapi (or Yamashita Tomohisa, which is his real name). One of my major fictional crushes after watching the jdrama Kurosagi, which is an angsty crime/revenge story based on a manga. He and a couple of other guys were the main reasons I got sucked into the jpop fandom.
I like this icon, because it reminds me of some scenes in Kurosagi (that self-satisfied smiled), but it still isn't from it. So, it again works as a multi-purpose Yamapi icon for all kinds of occasions (you might have noticed a trend here... :D)
This is made from a screencap from the jdrama Liar Game. The lighting and the setting looked gorgeous in that scene, so I thought they'd make great icons. This is also one you can use for various purposes, since it isn't really linked to any particular thing.
This is a picture of me, made from my kindergarten class picture. I'm about 5 years old in it.
I wanted an icon that had a picture of me, but one that wouldn't be immediately recognizable to just anyone. My friends, family, close acquaintances, and even some colleagues from work can recognize me from this picture (it used to be my Facebook profile picture for a while as well), even though it's nowhere recent :D.
Madhubala from Muchal-e-Azam, I think. I haven't seen any other old films with Madhubala, but I very much want to. She's one of the classic Indian actresses from the Golden Age of Bollywood. Even though I've seen more modern Indian films, I think some of the black & white classics are great. And M-e-Z is definitely one of those. Another one of those multi-purpose ones - can be used with any older Indian film :).
