Yesterday was yet another Hanadan day in my corner of the woods :). It's a good thing I have an evening shift today, after being up so late watching both this and Leverage...
Even more caps this time... At least I finally figured out how to use GraphicConverter's Batch function and automatically resized all of them with just a few clicks...
LOL!! Is he the main course then?! XD *mind in the gutter*
I love how Jan Di is telling him not to take off his clothes, but still can't resist peeking at him...
'Gu Jun Pyo stay still and don't move, I'm going to ogle you now... there's a snake under your foot!'
Our brave hero... Though I love the expression on Jan Di's face at this display of his cowardice fierce nature :D!
The actress playing Ga Eul is so pretty!
So suave, Woo Bin. His compliments to the other lady make Ga Eul look so impressed XD.
How come Jan Di, who is supposed to be a swimmer, is suddenly drowning in water that looks like it comes to her mid-thighs, max?! Just stand up, girl! It's so clear that she is sitting in the bottom and her head could easily be above the water...
Well, I guess it's a contrivance to show that Jun Pyo is afraid of water and can't go to her rescue, so Ji-Hoo plays her white knight once again :P. Still, it looks sooooo artificial.
Shirtlessness + water (bath, shower, sea, whatever) + angsting = always a good combination. I'm so glad quite a few Asian dramas have understood the importance of this equation :).
Heh, it's amusing how at the Jun Pyo's feast, there's one table for Jun Pyo and Jan Di, and the rest of the group are around another table.
Yi Jeon, you think you are so smooth... *cracking up* He's trying to find out if Ga Eul is interested in Jun Pyo as well XD.
I can't help wondering why he would have a night gown in his luggage...
ROTFLMAO!!! I almost destroyed my computer by spitting soda all over it when Yi Jeon asked Ga Eul if she was interested in Jan Di *dies* *dies* *dies*
He's such a genius, that boy. You can practically see the gears turning in his head while he thinks about this dilemma...
*my eyes* That vest! With a white t-shirt! And the hat!
Heh heh, he almost found out that she might actually be bothered by his presence... Just look at her blush!
Heh, fireworks and all - Jun Pyo sure likes flashy gestures. Aww, just look how he's looking at Jan Di trying to see if she's impressed by all this. So cute!
It's just heart-breaking to know what is going to happen very soon :(.
Aww, Jan Di looks very cute trying that flower in her hair.
I have to say their bickering is always so amusing. The way he insults her and she gets all annoyed with him like in some weird backwards mating dance.
I love the way she's always so suspicious of him trying something with her and immediately jumps to conclusions at the slightest provocation. Her mind is clearly in the gutter when it comes to him... XD
LOL! Flashback to that weird fortune teller!
"You are losing something important... As a woman."
Then he just wraps an anklet around her foot... Not really what she was expecting him to do, now was it.
Of course she did! Aww, Jun Pyo!
She sees Ji-Hoo alone on the beach and it looks like he's crying. Of course she wants to know what is wrong with him and if she can help in any way.
This lily-of-the-valley discussion on how it means that "you will find happiness," and you are only supposed to give it someone you love seems very familiar, I think there was something similar in Snow Queen.
Kim Hyun Joong's acting has really improved from the first couple of episodes!
Smart girl. After this discussion it's evident that Ji-Hoo is still in love with Seo Hyun, so she refuses to accept the flower when he hands it to her.
She's getting ready to leave, since it's suddenly getting uncomfortable, but he suddenly grabs her into a hug.
Nice cleavage :).
Sigh, Jun Pyo was worried of her and she angrily replies that she can go on a walk alone if she wants, essentially lying to him, since she wasn't alone.
The anklet he gave her, she dropped it on the beach and of course Ji-Hoo finds it not knowing that it was a gift to her from Jun Pyo.
So, the next morning he sees it wrapped around Ji-Hoo's wrist. That is also when Jan Di discovers that it's missing and panics, because he said he'd kill her if she lost it. So when he asks her about it, she lies to him again. Which turns out to be a BIG mistake, since he's already suspicious of her and Ji-Hoo.
At least there's the Yi Jeon/Ga Eul secondary OTP to get me through all those painful moments, since they are so many fine moments with them in this episode :).
When Jun Pyo asks Ji-Hoo about it, he says he likes it and it's Jan Di's, but she dropped it last night, not knowing that Jan Di told JP that she'd been walking alone.
Poor Jun Pyo. You can just visibly see him crumbling. His hands are shaking and he can't concentrate or enjoy playing beach volley anymore. All he can think of is how Jan Di lied to him.
"As long as there's white cloth... And some wind, I can go anywhere." That's quite a nice philosophy, Ji-Hoo.
Heh, he lets her come alone fishing with him as long as she promises not to be too loud and scare away all the fish :). (And funny thing is that Kim Hyun Joong really enjoys fishing, like he told in the preview SP. I guess that's why he looks quite happy and natural in these scenes :D)
I think he finds her amusing and entertaining, but I don't like the way he's playing on her feelings. He knows his best friend is crazy over her, so why is he flirting with her?
I, too, want a handsome millionaire boyfriend who'll take me on holidays to exotic locations... (Don't we all :P.) XD
LOL! I love how Ga Eul is filming fun holiday shots of herself and Yi Jeon comes across her. She's so cute!
I suspect he thinks of her as that amusing friend Jan Di and is intrigued by the way she hasn't yet fallen all over him. There are so many great YJ/GE moments in this episode!
One thing I've always liked about the F4 is that they protect each other. They've been together since childhood, come from similar backgrounds and know both the ups and downs of being a member of a mega-rich family.
He's trying to find out who Jan Di likes after GE sort of blurted out that she likes some other guy than Jun Pyo. I bet he thinks he's subtle his questioning...
Looks like GE is still under the impression that Jan Di is completely in love with Ji-Hoo, when this isn't quite true anymore. Don't the BFF communicate and share secrets anymore?
The soulmate discussion was interesting, because it made me think that they might include the storyline about Soujiro's past with that girl in this. Which would be great.
JP takes JD on a helicopter ride and a few minutes in, my reaction is: *squeal* OMG!!! CUUUUTTEEE!!! *flail*
Though, of course, it's absolutely corny when you think about it :). Jun Pyo, you are such a dork! XD
Ouch! He looks so radiantly happy, while she looks like 'are you serious?''What am I going to do now?'
And when they get back, they finally find out why Ji-Hoo's been so strange. Seo Hyun is engaged to some foreign politician...
Sigh. They are clearly so young. Jun Pyo is pushing her for a decision while she's still completely unsure of her feelings. After all, it isn't yet that long a time ago when he set the entire school on to bully her, almost got her raped (though she doesn't know he didn't order it), and basically made her life a complete and utter misery.
All these grand gestures and sudden declarations of love are not going to just wipe the slate clean all of a sudden. I find it completely understandable that she's still wavering between the guy who always came to her rescue and the guy who was behind all that torture. However nice he might seem at the moment...
I guess the only thing she can handle right now is the rumour about Seo Hyun getting married, so she rushes to Ji-Hoo to find out the truth.
This scene feel very true to the way they are supposed to be teenagers, or at least in their early 20s. All feelings are larger than life and so absolute.
The kiss. Of course witnessed by Jun Pyo :P.
Boy, I think you still have quite a way to go before you are worthy of Jan Di. Though she wasn't blameless in this situation with her confused feelings and the way she allowed this situation to develop.
So the next morning JP has gone home and left the rest of the group at the resort. The F2 try to ask Jan Di for the reason, but she keeps silent. And when she comes across Ji-Hoo right after, things are feeling really awkward.
Only too late does she find out the meaning of that anklet Jun Pyo gave her... He's completely head-over-heels in love with her, but what are her feelings? Very confused, I think, at this point. I think she was slowly warming up to JP, but hadn't really acknowledged that to herself yet. On a more conscious level, she was still pining after Ji-Hoo.
Now that he isn't there any more, looks like she's finally realized how much she misses him... And drawing those silly portraits of him with Ji-Hoo, I guess he sees it too.
Jun Pyo and his fur accessories :P!
Looks like the announcement about Ji-Hoo no longer being F4 came as a complete surprise to Yi Jeon and Woo Bin. (and how can they be "F4" with only 3 members, I ask?)
And he's withdrawing his protection from Jan Di once again. You know, the way that guy gets people to viciously bully other people in his name, but never actually dirties his hands himself makes him even worse than the guys doing the actual bullying. They are just part of the herd, but he is actually the one directing the violence and selecting the victims.
If he hadn't ever taken an interest in Jan Di, she might have already left the school or have been driven close to suicide like Junpei's brother was. Just think of the way she was begging anyone to come to her aid at the beginning of the last episode. If any members of the F4 hadn't taken an interest in her, think how much worse things might been at that moment... :/
However many cute and dorky gestures he might make, I think forgetting the vicious side of his character is going to take quite some time. Especially since he well knows to what lengths the other students can go to, having treated Jan Di's earlier wounds himself.
Though I think this time at least some students are torn as to how to behave, because his moods have changed so radically in such a slow period. First they are allowed to bully her, next he announces she's his girlfriend, and now he's telling everybody to go after again. What are they to believe?
Hah, the Bitchy Trio are pestering Jan Di to disappear when suddenly Ji-Hoo comes to her rescue - and he should, since he's partly to blame for all this.
Looks like Jan Di feels like it's okay for her to disappear, but she can't allow Ji-Hoo to be banished from F4.
The loyalty and friendships between the F4 are SERIOUS BUSINESS!!! I can well see how Yi Jeon and Woo Bin might be upset with Ji-Hoo. Especially not knowing the details about the circumstances of the breakup between him and Jun Pyo.
Yi Jeon's angry face. Though it might be more effective if Kim Bum wasn't such a babyface XD.
The one things I've always liked about Lei/Rui/Ji-Hoo is that he stays by Jan Di's side when things get tough. He doesn't abandon her, even going against lifelong friendships to protect her.
They actually do an excellent job of portraying the scary vindictive unpredictable side of Jun Pyo's character in this drama! He's so used to EVERYTHING going his way that now that things actually aren't conforming to his expectations of reality, he's completely out of control. He's even threatening all his best friends with expulsion if they say one word against him!
Why isn't it next week already? This drama is so addictive!
