Hanadan Fever, Take 2

Jan 07, 2009 20:29

Expect lots of squeeing and loads of screencaps. You have been warned...

LOL! Rui (I really should try to learn their Korean names, but I think I'll just keep on calling him Rui :P) discussing making pancakes with Jan-Di (*cough* You don't want to know where my mind went, when he told her that he did what she asked him to do, but it won't rise...) and calling her "hotcakes" while she is held by the attempted rapists and then just asks why the guys are still there...

I also love that k-Dom gets angry when he hears what the guys did and runs them off waving his golf club. Not hitting any of them though, which is a pity.

Heh, Rui's grin when he thinks Jan-Di is going to give him tissues to wipe clean his dirty hands, but instead she goes to wipe clean the glass before the ad he was looking at!!!! But then she ruins it by innocently prattling on about the model getting married to some President or royal or something and doesn't understand why he suddenly gets all huffy.

Hah! Keep on waiting for her to apologize Dom... GO JAN-DI!!!!!!!!! ROUNDHOUSE KICK TO THE FACE!!!!! I LOVE HER!!!! And I love love love the expressions on the other guys' faces when they see her do that and the way they are cackling when she's totally ripping at him!

What did just happen?!

"If you keep going on like this, you are really dead meat next time." Tell it to him, Jan-Di!!! The completely incredulous and even slightly scared expression on his face is priceless!!!

I LOVE THIS DRAMA! (and yes, it definitely calls for lots of exclamation marks and capslocking)

LOL! Joon-Pyo is so completely delusional. After the treatment he got, he's suddenly decided that Jan-Di is in love with him and is grinning madly at the thought. Joon-Pyo's logic is clearly not on the same planet with the rest of us lesser mortals...

I love how he's suddenly fixated on what she said about not having had her first kiss and decides that, of course, she wants him to be the one who kisses her. He's fallen so deep and doesn't even know it yet, and his friends are completely cracking up at his idiocy, but he's just happily grinning at the thought.

*dies* Jan-Di creeping to school and then hiding in the bushes when Joon-Pyo's henchmen are after her... *wipes away tears of laughter*

Sigh, looks like the viikii server can't really take the number of people trying to watch this, since I keep getting network errors while trying to watch it...

Heh, at first she thinks it's Rui, but then he turns around from the window and she can see who it is...

LOL! I love the look on Jan-Di's face when Joon-Pyo asks for her to admit that she loves him. He's so delusional! And he just keeps on insulting her: telling that he'll allow her to say hello to him sometimes outside of school!!! Way to go, Joon-Pyo :P!

Heee!!! First he throws a temper tantrum worthy of a five-year-old and the next moment he's hiding behind a chair because there's a bee in the room!!!!

OMG! Is that a throne I see??!!!! This is such crack!

It's no wonder Makino (or in this case Jan-Di) always falls for Rui, because he's such a total dreamboat, always arriving to her rescue at just the right moment. Like when she's outside the mansion without shoes and trying to think how to get home like that...

And then he ruffles her hair and calls her amusing, and hands her his shoes... Which she later washes WITH A TOOTHBRUSH!

Heh, when she goes to the F4 lounge to return the shoes, she runs across k-Akira and k-Soujirou who ask her to take some tea with them. I think they are extremely amused and highly entertained by the effect she is having on their friends... And who wouldn't be.

So from them she finds out that Rui and the model she idolizes are actually an item. I like that they kept the autistic withdrawal in this version of the story, and how Shizuka helped Rui out of his shell after his parents' death.

"His first love, like a mother." Which actually sounds quite icky and very oedipal when you think of it.

EEEE! The scene where she is hit in the face by a ball and is bleeding from the nose! Joon-Pyo tries to help her in his clumsy way, but of course only alienates her even more.

He does show glimpses of humanity, but they are very well hidden. "Don't cry. It doesn't suit you."

I have the strong suspicion that the k-Domyoji is going to end up as my favourite version of the character if this keeps on going in as awesome manner as it has for just the first two episodes...

"Even if you were the last person on Earth, I wouldn't ask you for help." Way to crush a guy, Jan-Di...

**THANKS THE POWERS-THAT-BE FOR THE FANSERVICE** (This drama clearly knows what it's audience wants...)

ANGSTY SHOWER SCENES FTW!!!

AAAAHHHHH!!!! HE'S CRYING, I KNOW IT!!!! It's that small resigned smile that's the revealing thing.

Heh, only the second episode, but I'm already madly shipping Joon-Pyo/Jan-Di. Though he still needs to reform quite a bit more before he becomes worthy of her. He still hasn't learned that money can't buy love...

LOL!! Joon-Pyo is waiting for her to arrive to the airport, but she has gone fishing on a small sailboat with her friend from the restaurant she works at. Heee!

OMG! This is just awesome!!!! He comes after her in the gigantic cruise ship the school trip is taking place in (heh, a cruise to Scandinavia... Um, isn't that a bit far and hard to get to from Korea by sea...)

"Isn't this a coincidence. I really didn't know you were here." Yeah, right XD.

Min Seo Yeon (k-Shizuka) is beautiful! Though seeing her arrive with Ji-Hoo (heh, I'm finally starting to learn the Korean names of the characters) must be breaking Jan-Di's heart into itty bitty pieces.

LOL! When Joon-Pyo asks the dripping wet Jan-Di to come to the party, she yells at him and refuses, but just a few minutes later when Ji-Hoo asks her, she immediately agrees to go :D.

Oh my, I just know that those bitchy girls tell her it's a costume party, so that she'll be completely embarrassed when she's the only in costume... As is exactly what happens.

Bwahahah, trying to hide from Joon-Pyo... I love how she's berating herself for trusting the Bitchy Trio and immediately afterwards, they locate her...

Heeeee!!!!! SHE'S DRESSED A WONDER WOMAN!!! But it's so fitting, because Makino really is a wonder in all incarnations of this story XD.

OMG! OMG!!! Just when Joon-Pyo is going to go to her rescue, he is pre-empted by Ji-Hoo who just calmly takes off his white jacket (I love how Rui is always in white) and wraps her in it while Seo Yeon is helping her to clean up. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Min Seo Yeon is pure awesomeness!!!!! "I like you, so I'll support you."

And Joon-Pyo is already so jealous and frustrated. Heeeeee!!!! I'm just dying with glee at this drama!

I love how completely floored BOTH Joon-Pyo and Ji-Hoo are by Seo Yeon's makeover of Jan-Di!!! Heeee! OMG! Joon-Pyo even drops his plate at the sight of her!!!!!!

HOW CAN I WAIT A WEEK UNTIL THE NEXT EPISODE AFTER ALL THIS!!!! EVIL PREVIEWS!!!! GAAAAHHHH!!!

Ouch! My cheeks are hurting from grinning so much! I am completely and utterly in love with this drama!!!

Hmm, this is actually the very first version of the drama where I like the Domyoji character this early. I guess it's indirectly influenced by already knowing the story, but still...

I've liked some aspects of both the Taiwanese and the Japanese drama versions, but the k-version might end up being my favourite if it continues on in the the same manner.

Heh, just to continue with the Hanadan overload, I'm thinking of watching the Hana Yori Dango Final movie, which has just been subbed by SARS fansubs and I'm also thinking of checking out the earlier Japanese version which has Fujiki Naohito playing Rui....
