Reading

I'm feeling really bad about how little I've read recently. I guess I'll make over 100 books this year, which is still probably about 10 times more than what some other people read, but for me, it's an extremely low figure.

The reading this time has been (94.) Charlaine Harris's From Dead to Worse which I read on my new mobile phone (wanted to try out the Mobipocket format). I like this series a lot and there were quite a few new developments in this novel.

Eric finally remembers his time with Sookie! Alcide become the leader of the werewolf pack ! Quinn is past history, because his family always comes first and Sookie, quite understandably, would like to be the number one person in a relationship. Bill wants her back. There is a complete change of leadership in the vampire world! Her brother is a complete idiot as always, but this time he just goes too far. etc etc.

This book is just jam-packed with developments that are rooted in some things that have happened earlier in the series. Even Sookie's finding out about Hadley's child and how he's telepathic just like her was a really big thing.

The new great grandfather could become quite an interesting development in the future. Especially since his reactions and thoughts are not quite completely human. Though I think one development in the short story in the Wolfsbane and Mistletoe anthology that I'm currently reading could really come back to bite his ass sometime in the future...

It's hard to even summarize all of the story, because there was so much happening in it. I can't wait to find out what will happen next!

(95.) Sharon Shinn; Rebecca York; Carol Berg; Jean Johnson: Elemental Magic was another one of those paranormal romance anthologies I get every now and then from Old Schoolfriend. It was okay reading on the bus going to work and coming home, but I don't really think any of the stories was that memorable.
