I just watched the first episode of Oh! My Girl!! and it's so cuuuuute!!!
Hayami Mokomichi plays Yamashita Koutarou, a struggling writer who is suddenly forced to live with and take care of a spoiled young child actress named Sakurai Ann (Yoshida Riko). This comes as a complete surprise to him and he's very much annoyed with the situation. In fact, he's trying his best to get someone else take care of the girl, but without any success.
This drama seems to be going all out with manipulating the viewers' emotions - I admit to already getting a bit misty during some moments.
Especially during the scene where Koutarou was listening to all the messages that Ann had left on her mother's phone.
I guess Koutarou's words about her mother abandoning her came a bit too close to the truth, since it looks like Ann's mother didn't even remember her in any way on her birthday. Still, it was a completely unforgivable thing to say to a small child, however annoying she might have been.
I can well understand why he was annoyed, but he still shouldn't take it out on Ann. At least he properly begged for her forgiveness, but I suspect his words are going to stay in Ann's mind, making her wonder if her mother really did abandon her...
Still, let's see how things are going to develop in the future.
Kato Rosa's character was mainly just annoying, but the little girl and Hayami Mokomichi were both very good. And it doesn't hurt that Moko is looking really really good in this! Add to that his character having to deal with a bossy little girl and you have recipe for some major cuteness :).
