Ouch! It was actually hard to watch Toda Erika and Nishikido Ryo's apparance on Osama no Brunch, because he was really nervous and clearly very uncomfortable in that situation, and came across as almost painfully shy. He wouldn't even look in Erika's direction or talk directly to her, commenting that it would be too embarrassing

I wonder why he was so uncomfortable? I can't remember him being like this with other female co-stars...

I don't know, but it was almost painful to watch that clip, because he was so nervous all the time :/. His hands were shaking and he was stumbling on his words - I don't remember ever seeing him like this either.

Maybe he's afraid of Erika XD...

That might be it :). Actually, I did wonder a few times while watching the Tokyo Friends Park II with the RnK cast... XD

Actually, I just realized that if I'm not completely mistaken, this is his first leading role in a drama, so he might not have done all this promotional circuit in all the various shows before. I think all his previous roles have been as secondary characters, so he hasn't had to shoulder the responsibility of doing major promoting which could explain part of his nervousness.

I think some of his behaviour looked like classic symptoms of stage fright/performance anxiety.
