87. Sherwood Smith: A Stranger to Command

I've loved Sherwood Smith's Crown & Court Duet for the longest time and when I found out there as going be a prequel, I felt excited, but also a bit apprehensive :P.

I just finished reading A Stranger to Command and really loved it!
Vidanric Renseleaus, Marquis of Shevraeth starts out as a courtly outsider in the military shool in Marloven Hess, but over the time he becomes integrated as one of the members in the school and even becomes an instructor in one of the skills.

The basic story is interesting for showing how Shevraeth became who he is. I also love his correspondence with Savona and his parents, and the insights these gave to the overall story...

Now I have to find her other books asap, since I'd only read the Crown and Court Duet before this.

I want to find out more about Senrid and the rest of the backstory that was alluded to in this novel! Not having read these didn't really matter that much while reading, because it was Shevraeth's viewpoint in the story and he didn't know the backstory either. So his ignorance worked really well in this case.

But I want to know more!!!

Random: I love the Code Blue OST! Totally addictive!
