Ahhh!! The way Hogae took care of the unconscious Kiha had the shipper in me in such a glee! And when he left her, she woke up just a little while later... He does try to be a good man, but I don't think the circumstances and the forces (and people) influencing him and her will allow that.
On the other hand, in the palace Dam Duk is struggling to maintain his position and kingdom and immersing himself in his work so that he doesn't have to think about Kiha. But Sujini sees through him. I liked the scene where she confronted him about his feelings and he admitted that he still loved Kiha. Though most of the time she does try to act so positive and sensible, after his admission she was hiding her own tears.
The Cabinet meeting showed a clear difference in both Hogae's and Dam Duk's attitude's towards the war that Hogae's camp is trying to make happen. Hogae only thinks of the glory and of the way a victory would improve his position, but Dam Duk thinks about the end cost of such a conflict, and of how to minimize the inevitable losses by using intelligence and subterfuge against the other nation. Contrasted against Hogae, he clearly seems the better king, but the Cabinet doesn't really see that. They only think him a coward trying to avoid the conflict.
Heh, I know quite a few people on my f-list are big Bae Yong Joon fans, but I have to admit I like emo!prince Hogae (Yoon Tae Young) more :).
