Last Friends 7

Takeru's confession really came at the worst possible time. I think there's a snowball's chance in Hell that Ruka will now confide in him about her feelings for Michiru and confused she is about her sexuality.

I guess I go with the theory that he knew deep down that she likes somebody else (namely Michiru), but wanted to voice his own feeling before she made any definite pronouncements about the matter.

Ouch! When he later asks her what was she going to say to her, she just asks him to be nice to Michiru, since she doesn't seem to be able to do that. It's almost like she is pushing Michiru to Takeru, because he's a nice guy and she doesn't think she has any chance of Michiru ever returning her feelings. Oh, Ruka!!!

"Michiru gets lonely a lot. Somebody has to support her. So, please support her, Takeru."

Double ouch!!! They have one extra ticket to the outing, so Ruka asks her coach to come along and now everybody is jumping to the conclusion that he is the person she likes. And she doesn't deny that at all, quite the opposite. Oh, Ruka!! This is so painful to watch! *wants to shake some sense into her*

Poor Takeru as well, seeing her appear with another man right after his confession...

Now, who is that woman he sees in the amusement park? Is it his sister (who I suspect of molesting him as a child - yes, flashback confirmed that it is indeed his sister)? He looks quite ill after seeing her with her husband and young son.

Michiru notices his discomfort and follows him. When the two go missing, all the others are just happy to leave them alone.

AWWWWWW!!!!!!!! How sweet!

Go Michiru! She has finally made up her mind to clearly tell Sousuke that she is breaking up with him. And when Ruka suggests that either she or Eri might be better telling him that, Michiru answers that it must be her, because she needs to do it herself. I'm already getting apprehensive, because I it's not just going to be that easy. Sousuke is way too possessive and stalkerish to just let her go like that...

Hah, of course, he is thinking that her friends in the share-house brainwashed her into leaving him. Of course, he or his actions don't have anything to do with it.

He's always blaming someone else and never taking the responsibility for his own actions and their results. It's always somebody else's fault. Like I suspect in his mind it's Michiru's fault for irritating him and making him hit her :/.

Gaah, I'm positive it's Sousuke who is behind those hate messages aimed at Ruka. The ones that accuse her of being "a monster with a man's soul trapped inside a woman's body." Just as I thought, he isn't giving up so easy and will have his vengeance on the people he thinks were responsible for taking Michiru away from him.

I can't get over how cute all the scenes between the little boy and Sousuke are. They completely throw me out of the drama, because while watching them, I'm not thinking of the evil wife-beater Sousuke, but am instead thrown into fangirl mode which is very confusing while watching a drama like this where there is such a huge difference between the actor and the role.

I completely agree with the comments that hope the writers are not going to try to redeem Sousuke by his connection to the cute little boy. Though if they did, it would have to be something completely drastic like the boy dying or something. And the way this drama has been going, THEY COULD COMPLETELY DO IT.

Argh, I'm completely reminded of the Japanese film Nobody Knows (Dare mo shira nai) where four young children try to cope together after their mother abandons them. And the worst part is that it's actually based on a true story. All masochists who like torturing themselves with Last Friends should watch it :)! The child actors in it are amazing and the story is really touching, though IMO the film is a bit overlong.

Actually, I suspect the situation is reminding Sousuke of the way his mother abandoned him when he was young. He sees himself in the young boy he is trying to help.

Now that was really creepy! When the little boy innocently asked Sousuke whether he was lonely since he didn't have a girlfriend, he just said that she will come back, followed by a really scary-looking smile.

Oh yes, Takeru elder sister did molest him. Even though it is only hinted at, the camera and his flashbacks are very clear clues of it. 'I'll do something nice to you. Don't tell Dad.'

Just like there wasn't really anything shown of Sousuke raping Michiru, it was only to be inferred from the situation.

Sigh! All of them are in some secret pain or in an extremely hurtful situation that they just aren't ready to reveal to anybody else. They all keep their pain inside of them which makes for a very tense atmosphere in the house.

Takeru is really such a nice guy. If I weren't hoping for a Michiru/Ruka resolution, I would totally be shipping him with Michiru. He knows what it's like when love turns to hate, and when someone you love and trust abuses that trust. He tells Michiru that she will get past it with time, even though the situation seems like unending misery right now, since it's still so fresh.

I don't care whichever rabid fangirl hates Nagasawa Masami. I think she's doing a fantastic job in this drama!

"I wonder if it would be okay if I start to like Takeru-kun"... Oh you woobies. This is just heartbreak waiting to happen, once again! OMG! OMG! Ruka witnessed the entire conversation and Michiru's ending comment!!! GAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

They hear a noice, and when they check on it, Takeru notices that Ruka's cellphone, which she had left on the couch is gone. He knows she witnessed the discussion and I'm pretty sure he knows how betrayed and hurt Ruka is going to feel... Ahhh, the ANGST!!!

Kioku have promised a double-release of episodes 8 and 9 sometime next week. I just hope it's going to be in the beginning of the week, since I'm dying to see the next episode!

I guess I'll watch some cute "Koi Uta" promo clips with Tackey & Tsubasa now, because I need some cheering up after all this angst.
