I've now watched the first season of Highlander, and quite liked it despite some minor reservations. I have to say that I'm not that fond of Richie, he's pretty annoying at times, but Duncan MacLeod, on the other hand, quite makes up for this (swoon...).
There were some continuity stuff that bugged me at times, like a couple of occasions where I wondered where the heck Duncan was hiding his sword before it appeared for the fight and a couple of narrow escapes where it looked like he just left his sword behind.
It was funny to notice how many pop stars were guest stars in the series. I already mentioned Joan Jett in an earlier entry. There were also appearances by Vanity, Roland Gift (lead singer of Fine Young Cannibals), Martin Kemp of Spandau Ballet and Roger Daltrey, with some of the characters appearing in later seasons as well.
I'll really have to get the rest of the seasons as well, whenever my funds permit it. Ah well, yet another addition to my ever-growing wishlist (which has lots and lots and lots of books, dvd, cds, etc.).
On other tv, yesterday's Angel episode (5.4 "Hell Bound") was very creepy. I don't know if it was just me, but it felt much scarier than Angel usually is, with all kinds of horror-y effects. This season has started out really well, I love the interaction between Spike and Angel and the rest of the cast.
