I've now watched through all the material on my new Tackey & Tsubasa concert DVDs. I can't decide which concert I prefer. My first impression was that the Best con was extremely well filmed, but when I watched the Spring Con it seemed so very energetic. I guess I'll just say that they both are great and this DVD set is wonderful since it has 2 fantastic concerts on it :).
The concert preparation stuff on Disc 3 of version A was very interesting. I understood only a few words of the MC collection on Disc 3 of version B, but it seems pretty fun anyway :). The offshoots on both versions were fun, but I've never been a big fan of the multi-angle thingies.
Still, just the two concerts, both about two hours long makes this worth buying! Sigh, I wish my old computer could rip stuff from DVDs, since I really really want an mp3 of the piano version of "Serenade" that is performed in the Best con. It's beautiful!
Neverland
Looks like Iwatsuki (Koki's character) committed suicide because he couldn't take it anymore. The others don't yet know why he killed himself, but I'm sure they'll find some reasons sooner or later. This is an angsty, twisty drama, after all...
Tsubasa's character thinks he is the most to blame, when in actuality I think his rapist is the one who most pushed him to kill himself. Still, Ishikuni (Tsubasa) feels guilty, but Miyake's Ken's character tells him that he shouldn't, remembering his parents' suicide. The survivors are always left with the feelings of guilt and the questions of why it happened whenever someone kills themselves.
Still, nobody knows what really happened. But the way the story in this drama works, I strongly suspect they'll find out.
In episode 7, everybody thinks Tsubasa's character is a kleptomaniac. But I think it's all due to that evil guy from the other house (who raped Koki). He is at the root of every nasty thing that has happened in this house so far...
At least Tsubasa's character finally tells his girlfriend why he feels so bad when confronted by women, so she knows it's not her but him who is having trouble with their relationship. However much he might try to tell her, knowing the real reason should bring it home to her...
Even though he's really nasty, I find it highly amusing that the bad guy in this drama (who raped Koki, is framing Tsubasa, stalks everyone at their dormitory, etc.) is the only guy who isn't affiliated with JE :P. Can't make baddies of the pretty boys...
Random stuff: Nagase Tomoya's appearances in Domoto Kyodai were hilarious! Baby beef!!! "Smart" Nagase :D...
The story about Leader stripping in the dressing room. And it being completely normal. All the senpai groups are really like little boys when it comes to their mentality...
You should see the Shindoi clip where Domoto Tsuyoshi tries to get various JE people from TOKIO, V6, Kinki Kids to hang out with him. With varying degrees of success...
Cooking stuff with Tsubasa was fun. Playing pranks (those guys really have the mentalities of 5-year-olds...) on V6's Inohara (I think. If I'm completely mistaken, some guy from V6 anyway, I'm not that familiar with them :P.) ("Hi! It's Matchy-san calling.") or Okada Junichi (almost getting him to enter the wrong car).
Then there were the various contests with Okada, pool, pingpong, bowling, etc.
And of course the visit to the baths with Tsubasa and Inohara. They tried some flexing in front of the cameras only wearing those tiny tiny white towels... O_____O
After Koichi joined them, these guys went out to karaoke and when they got bored, invaded some unsuspecting women's karaoke box. Heh, if all those guys came to my karaoke box, I suspect I wouldn't know how to be :P. Well these women were very giggly when all these JE stars suddenly appeared next to them :).
Then at the end it was hilarious when Tsuyoshi messed with V6's rehearsal for Music Station and Tsubasa tried to stop him.
