Wow, the final episode of Yukan Club was actually pretty fun with the framing plot and the way the guys worked together to save their school. This drama has been so totally hit-and-miss for me, with most episodes being only okay or a bit blah, so it was still nice to end it on a good note. Even Jin's crying didn't make me cringe (or laugh) this time!
And then to the drama that most most drama fans have been expecting to start, i.e. 1 Pound Gospel, or Kame/Nun as most people have been calling it :D. Kame plays a boxer who is constantly distracted by food and struggles to stay in his weight class because he likes good food too much. And then he meets this nun, played by Kuroki Meisa, and falls in love with her... Promises to be total crack :).
And it was, great fun, that is. The way Kame's character bounces up every time he's promised food and his infatuation with Sister Angela are hilarious. Not to forget about the way his character ends up overeating because the cute orphans offer him food as a thank you for saving one of them from getting hurt, etc. etc. This left a big smile on my face :).
