1001 Nights of Snowfall

I got my copy of (105.) Fables: 1001 Nights of Snowfallback from a friend today, and, of course, reread it immediately. *cough* I also got further proof that JE really does rot your brain when reading the story about Snow, Prince Charming and the dwarves, since I immediately started thinking about casting it with Japanese actors - especially in the scene where Prince Charming is shirtless, I was immediately, OMG, that looks like Yamapi! O_o XD (I spent several minutes giggling at myself after this notion entered my brain :D!)

Ahem, but the way Snow is drawn in this story is very much like she were an Asian female. I'm thinking Chinese, for some reason. Megan Lai, perhaps?

Ah well, that was just me going crazy for a while :). I love this book! The artwork in all the stories is so gorgeous and the stories bring quite a lot more depth to some of the characters. Ambrose the frog prince's story is probably the most tragic of all, but Snow's story also revealed quite a lot of hidden depths in her character. She really can be very ruthless when she has to be. Just like Bigby, which is why they suit each other so well.

I was again completely boggled by Frau Totenkinder's story, because she has certainly been around and much more active than anybody knows, I bet!

Fables is VERY HIGHLY recommended to everybody who enjoys fairy tales and good (dark) comics!
